This race is madness.
Izzie's Halo at 9-1 or higher. |
the 6th at Gulfstream is a heck of a maiden race IMO.
http://www.brisnet.com/bris_link/pdf...cher_99866.pdf I like the 2nd choice , wouldn't surprise me if this "Shug" colt ends up in a race like the Wood. |

9th Gulfstream
Very tough race as many have said.
I'd g with the #9 - Saint Daimon. You got to believe he's ready with the eye poping works shown so being in shape is no problem. And as a 5 YO you have to think he's in the best racing shape of his career. If you look whose he's run against and believe he ready to go I say he takes these. Thoughts? |
tough race ill use the 11 as the outsider along with the lodgical and probebly favored 8/3

You would think that a colt that was by El Prado, out of a Silver Hawk mare, that was 0 for 3 on the dirt, and was trained by Tagg would be headed straight to the lawn. I must be missing something. |

And isn't it common practice for some trainers to have their turfers break their maidens on the dirt? |
most want to win on the dirt..thats where the money is..then to the turf..

would love to know if he had the blinks for that workout^^^ Also note that the race @ Laurel was vs. derby hopeful Visionaire. I really liked Elysium Field's finish in the last race... I don't like the addition of the blinkers - Sometimes you add the blinks to a horse that has some nice late form, and he wants to flatten out a little.. (hard to disagree with a hof trainer like Tagg) A lot of interesting horses in here... The Indian Charlie (Sir Jock) is a nice big horse, but he hasn't shown a ton of talent yet , there is the Zito horse off the layoff, the Ward/Oxley Gray .... It should come down to the two ml fav along with whatever speed can last. |
What about the Pletcher horse, Calzone. He's on fire this meet, has positive ROI for first routers, and seems to have taken this one back for some tinkering and should bring him ready. Pletcher/J.R. only 73% at the meet....and ML 10/1...Looks Yummy

If you were to spread heavy in a trifecta or something you would have to include underneath.\\ EDIT - i don't know what the heck i'm going to do here... I am basically looking very chalky with my capping - usually means I pass the race... I am also considering the superfecta. This could be a rare race where using a 2 horse key makes sense. |

was closing out a nice P3 and was moving forward in P4 if Winnie goes by @35:1..looked like a winner at the top of the stretch. chop chop gets his quota for the week at my expense. |
Nice tag though. Would not have picked that one ever
