If that's the case...no wonder why I wasn't into it.

It did seem like a real suspicously high number of honor roll members were all into it.

Just using observation here, ritalin or aderol is used to by children and adults who have ADD to help calm them and help them concentrate. When used by someone who does not have ADD or ADHD, the drug keeps them awake but it also helps with concentration. In college, a lot of people I know (it is very widely used, at least at the college I went to) used it to write papers or study, cause it would keep them up and help them focus.

That is just the type of abuse of ritalin and aderol that I observed at college. I am sure in high school the kids who abused it used it for a lot of different reasons, one of them probably to seem "cool".

You really should take a step back and follow some things said in this thread. Some of us were actually giving thoughts about the basic hypocracies we believe exist concerning laws in society. Somehow you decided to personalize this and lecture people on how they should behave instead of actually discussing the issue.

Where did I say I was pro-drug as you have just suggested? Who are you to ascribe beliefs to me?

It is you who has insulted me, and used your usual name calling, for what reason I really don't know.

Didn't your parents ever tell you that?

Because..Andy...people were making light of a serious situation...That's all.

Yes, I said that because you turned a discussion into a personal condemnation into others.....and I found that " funny ".

You followed this up with calling me a " weasel ".

Read that. Looks like someone is snitching. Others will pay for her mistakes. What a lovely justice system.

They are? Unlike you I prefer to read what people write, and think about their points, as opposed to ascribing their unknowable feelings behind them.

DrugS wasn't making light of the situation at all. He was making some very interesting points.

Let the little ones have some fun and don't be such a schnook.

I didn't feel I turned it into that. Just offering insight into the meth situation.
If people choose to go partake in any type of abuse..then so be it...but once again like many times on this board if you challenge one person you have to be able to stave off the of rest their hench men.

This is BS.

You were the poster who said people here should be " ashamed of themselves " and followed that up with name calling. Nobody other than you is responsible for that.

It is one thing to share your personal opinions about the topic being discussed and another one entirely to start pointing fingers at posters here.

Frankly, you saying I could be the respondant to an anti-drug lecturer at a school is disgraceful. Where exactly are my pro-drugs comments in this thread?

fpsoxfan 06-14-2007 10:27 AM

Have a great day everyone. Sorry if I offended anyone. Let's stick to horse racing. Not long until we are a the SPAAAAAAAA. :) :D :) :D

Andy...have a great day....This has gone way to far. Let's relax....I didn't mean weasal in put-down sense...more of a squimish sense. Whatever...
This has to be over with. You guys may or may not see the druug thing from my point of view..that's fine. I work closely with kids...law enforcement.. and
as a volunteer fireman I've been educated on the dangers of meth and meth labs. That's all I have to say. Let's move on.

One of my best friends was addicted to the stuff when she went to FSU. She said it made her concentrate better and she was afraid to stop taking it because she feared that her grades would suffer. I'm thankful that the only drug addiction I have is to caffeine.

I probably see a lot more of this from your point of view than you realize or believe. I certainly understand what you and others have said here about the dangers these drug labs present. The only thing I truly resent is you suggesting that I am " pro-drug " with no basis for those comments whatsoever. That's personal, unfair, and unwarranted.

I will have to remember, in the future, that calling someone a weasel is not meant as a put-down.
