I think, and have long thought, that Jordin has the best long-term prospects of these three. She's got a great sort of happy go lucky personality and just seems generally likeable, and she's the one of the final three who could be a bonafide "pop" recording artist like Kelly Clarkson regardless of whether she wins or not.

Besides Carrie Underwood (and I don't even like country music) Kelly Clarkson has been the most marketable. She has a good voice, great attitude, and has an advantage that no one else will ever have. She is the original American Idol. That in itself was worth millions of dollars....I don't think Jordin can compare from a marketing perspective with those 2.

Ok, we'll revisit this discussion in five years and I'll I-told-you-so then.

Not on the Jordin issue. But Kelly could outsing her. :) :p

I like Jordin to win it all and YES, as a goober like I am I will be voting for only her next week.

Don't get me wrong, because I am certainly going to hunt you down in five years and exact my gloating, but I'm not trying to say she's going to outsell Kelly Clarkson or anything.

But the fact remains that her exuberant personality, obvious vocal talent, cute looks, and ability to sell pop songs make her a pretty darn attractive prospect as a pop recording artist.

I've not thought that of many Idol winners, which is something I brought up here some time back when we were all talking about Idol. The Idol winners who I have liked, have gone on to do very very well. (Kelly, Carrie, and to a lesser extent Fantasia) The Idol winners who I thought should have lost to their finale opponent have struggled. (Ruben, Taylor)

Translation? I've got a pretty ****ing impressive history at determining who on Idol is an attractive marketing package, so tread lightly on this one grasshopper(s). :D

I don't think Jordin is more marketable than Kelly or Carrie. Not in a hundred years.

No one does. Do you want me to say that so you can quote me on it so at least you're not arguing with yourself? :p

I agree that Jordin has a huge up-side...she could easily reach the top of the industry, only 17, a better voice than most young artists and...a "normal" kid with her head on straight!

Ok, let me rephrase. I don't think she'll even be on the same level as those two. So there. :p
