Moral of my untold story:

Dont help people when they need it, even if you feel really bad about said person's situation. They will end up lying and embarrassing you.

Its better to give the help or money to Thoroughbred retirement foundations.

clyde 07-06-2010 05:36 PM

..uh..what are you talking about---exactly??...

ugh I helped out this guy i knew (didnt know him well though).. and some friends of mine helped out too. he was going to be homeless and I let him stay on my couch for 2 weeks for free... eat all the food in my fridge / freezer.. paid him $95 in cash for doing some work at my house.. and spent another 50 bucks on him for gas and other stuff..

a friend of mine also paid him a ton of moneyto help him out.. he did some work for her but nowhere near the amount he should have worked for what she gave him.. she was just being generous and bought him a hotel room for a week because I told him he needed to be out of my house monday (yesterday) by noon.

So I find out just a little bit ago that this guy, after he had gone to church with my friends, had them go to his drug dealers place so he could get a bunch of prescription drugs.. and had decieved my friends by saying he was stopping at this furnature store to get an application.

I spent 2 weeks of my life.. like $450 dollars (including the rent since he stayed at my house 2 weeks).. my friend and another co-worker spent an additional $400. so we put in $850 towards this low-life because I believed he was truely a good man.. & I felt terrible for the situation he was in.

And how does he thank us? By using all his money on freaking zanex and roxies. Fucl< him.

Everytime I try to help someone I get screwed.. so I aint helping anyone again unless its a family member or someone I care about enough to be like a family member.

That $850 would have been much better spent on a tb retirement foundation. At least we know all horses are innocent. (except Good Boy Sam, of course)

clyde 07-06-2010 06:11 PM

Now I understand.

It is hard,Uncly, when you try to help someone who seems to really need it and you make personal sacrifices to help---only to get stiffed in the end.

Which is probably a perfect way to describe your thanks, although I didn't mean it ....quite that way.

I'm ashamed to say I have kind of been in that guys shoes...too recently.

I know you would have helped and believe me....you would have got back your moneys worth...easy.

I do feel bad for you, but doing good things...really,really good things like you did...no matter what the end result is...it goes in your life folder as a very good thing to have done.

Always have thought a lot of you.Honest.Wouldn't lie about something as sensitive. Some people here know I always have.

Don't feel so bad.

You did a rare and very good thing.

Antitrust32 07-06-2010 06:20 PM

Thanks Morty.. I just feel real ashamed and embarrassed for getting my friends involved.. its one thing to screw me over, but I'm terribly sorry that my friend spent so much money on someone who turned out to not deserve it. I know she spent it on her own free will.. but if it wasnt for me she wouldnt have even met the man. She's not upset with me at all... but I'm just disappointed all the way around.

I always feel like I should try to trust people, even people I dont know well at all.. I want to have some faith in the human race.. But everytime I act on that faith it doesnt turn out well. Live and learn, right? Tho if I keep living and learning I'm only going to be a fool!

P.S. Nice Signature!

Antitrust32 07-06-2010 06:22 PM

You shouldnt be ashamed if you were experiencing tough times. Everyone goes through them.. some experiences are more difficult than others. As long as you keep your integrity, your honor, & your word.. then there is nothing to ever be ashamed about.

herkhorse 07-06-2010 06:26 PM

Soooooo, can I borrow 20 bucks?

Anyhoo---forgot to say I have to apologize for the Texas flag/moo people comment. No one yelled at me..am doing this on my own.If they did, I would not apologize.

It just seemed funny at the time, but I should not have said it and so..I am sorry.

I have to go now and look for smaller game.

herkhorse 07-06-2010 07:22 PM

If one places a minute amount of liquor on a scorpion, it will instantly go mad and sting itself to death.
The Bombardier Beetle, when disturbed, defends itself by emitting a series of explosions, sometimes setting off 4 or 5 reports in succession. The noises sound like miniature popgun blasts and are accompanied by a cloud of reddish colored vile smelling fluid.
It is commonly known that ants keep slaves. Certain species, the so-called Sanguinary Ants in particular, will raid the nests of other ant tribes and kill the queen and then kidnap many of the workers. The workers are brought back to the captor's hive where they are coerced into performing menial tasks.
