My bad.

For me this has been the biggest disappointment of the season. guy has not pitched well at all. Of our 5 "good" relief pitchers, he's been the worst. He's the bullpen's version of Exhausto. 2 outs, nobody on, 2 run lead in 9th, you really need to win those games in my opinion!!

horseofcourse 08-06-2011 01:58 PM

see my previous page post on fuk....needs to bat leadoff no?? Fuk OBP of .370, Brantley .330?? Brantley has more power, shouldn't he bat 6th and Fuk 1st??

horseofcourse 08-06-2011 02:00 PM

ON the bright side, just how bad are the Brownies going to be this year?? I guesss we have to start as it appears the Tribe is simply cliff diving for serious now.

horseofcourse 08-06-2011 02:04 PM

Our pitching is too good overall for a season ending long losing streak, but it's not good enough to not lose 6 of 10 with regularity which makes this slow, steady decline ever so painful. (it's exactly that as we're 24-40 in our last 64 games which is a large sample size of pretty bad baseball....a long stretch of losing 6 of every 10 pretty much.)

clyde 08-06-2011 02:38 PM

I don't know how a .260 hitter can get on base a lot without walking a lot...and from his evidence of complete lack of power, why would he walk a lot??

We got what we should have thought we got in U-Boob-O.

The 2 pitchers we gave up for no apparent reason will become the next NL C.Young winners.....of course.

I would like to say,''Thank God we can now pay attention to the Browns."....but I do for a few minutes and then I say, "Well...there's still plenty of baseball left."

Then there's the Cavaliers......but there's still plenty of baseball left.

Maybe Ohio State can be something to look ahead for with a happy face.

As you can tell, my life sucks.

he just does. the guy walks a lot. good vision? He is an upgrade believe it or not, which is pretty sad statement on the team's offense no question and what we were putting in the outfield. (urns started the last two days with Brantley banged up!!) This is pretty much arguing which method of capital punishment you prefer. It matters zero in the end.

clyde 08-06-2011 03:17 PM

They play a game with which I am completely unfamiliar.

How many walk off losses do we now have?

Shapiro is like T-Woods.....he has 2 heads;and a hole in one.

I'm not exactly sure what happened. Shapiro was at his best when we were sellers, not buyers. I can't fathom why they thought we should be buyers this year. I don't know if Shapiro is running it any more or if Antonnetti has full control on these things. Again, I have to think something is wrong with Ubaldo or the rockies wouldn't have dumped him as he is quite cheap for multiple years. It would have been like us trading CC in 2006 rather than 2008, it would have made zero sense. for a guy to have steady progressive improvement for 3 years then fall of the table while under contract and they aggressively seek to dump him is wrong..why would they do that?? I have gone back and forth on it, I am just praying for a miracle is all.

This is fine thinking.

Antonnetti sounds just like Shapiro;silver spoon fed words.Really, he sounds just like him.

How does one get promoted to prez having achieved just about zee-ro?

Trading players you have no hope in resigning in July when you have no hope in contending is easy. The reverse is much tougher .....especially when you have no idea what contending means.

horseofcourse 08-06-2011 08:56 PM

we're gonna show our extreme versatility and try losing 1-0 tonight.

clyde 08-06-2011 09:05 PM

A fine observation....I think Acta can smell it,too. He won't be able to resist pinch hitting with Urns.

Jesus!... do we strike out a lot or what!?

clyde 08-06-2011 09:07 PM

I hope we have seen the last of the "strike out and run into a double play" sign.

I hate that.

horseofcourse 08-06-2011 09:07 PM

It's officially over a month since we last won a series now. July 4-5-6 Yankees.

clyde 08-06-2011 09:10 PM

Are you reading this ,Shapiro?

Does that spell "contending for the division lead " to you????

clyde 08-06-2011 09:13 PM

My God!...something's wrong with Exhausto.

horseofcourse 08-06-2011 09:13 PM

Losing a game where Exhausto gives up zero runs would be a fine capper to the season I think. I'm gonna say 1-0 in 16 innings. I'm gonna charter a jet so I can give up the game winning homer in the 16th.

clyde 08-06-2011 09:16 PM

!!!!

clyde 08-06-2011 09:17 PM

But with C-Perez as the opener....it will never get near 16.

clyde 08-06-2011 09:21 PM

Oh Duncan has to go and spoil everything.

True. Oh my God Shelley Duncan has the last two rbi's for the team. He has 23 rbi, Urns 7 total with many more at bats than Duncan. Fine team management there in choosing the stiff righty for the bench. they can't even do that right. Duncan only playing and on the team cause Hannahan is with his wife watching birth or something.

clyde 08-06-2011 09:24 PM

Who is O'hanahan!!??

horseofcourse 08-06-2011 09:29 PM

where's Trot Nixon and the pies?? That's the missing ingredient we had in 2007. hannahan is the old 3rd baseman who can't hit so we play one of our 1st rounders that we didn't trade!!

clyde 08-06-2011 09:29 PM

Are you sure we are not wearing Ranger uniforms tonight?

!OOOOOOOOOO!

clyde 08-06-2011 09:31 PM

The 8th and 9th inning ...the Indians will demonstrate how to blow a 3 run lead after 7.

clyde 08-06-2011 09:35 PM

It's hap-e-ning.

horseofcourse 08-06-2011 09:36 PM

That Kipnis guy homered in 4 straight games and has a 7 game hitting streak. We brought up Dopey before him. We don't know which 2nd base prospect is our best and we don't know which right handed veteran outfielder to keep on the bench. I looked up Kipnis and he was only a 2nd round pick...he may be safe. Chisenhall was a 1st rounder so he could go any time with White and Pomeranz I think.

clyde 08-06-2011 09:37 PM

But it's HAP-E-NING!!

horseofcourse 08-06-2011 09:38 PM

Exhausto has never handled adversity that comes with fielding errors very well has he!!

very quick and painless tonight. It could be 8 or 9 to 3 after this inning.

clyde 08-06-2011 09:42 PM

Merciful Mother of GOD!!

I wish horsey pace analysis was this easy.

I think it's to 5 after this game. I'm pretty confident we'll be double digit games out of it by September 1st.

You know it.

My God, train wrecks look pretty compared to this mess.

horseofcourse 08-06-2011 09:47 PM

I'm guessing the Rangers get this guy in from 3rd with less than 2 outs. That's something the Indians do so well!! :zz::zz:

clyde 08-06-2011 09:49 PM

You said it!

Watching the evpn ticker---it's too quiet.

clyde 08-06-2011 09:51 PM

I'm ready for the Women's Longere fb team.

horseofcourse 08-06-2011 09:52 PM

YEs, very easy, that's a first place team hitting a fly ball with a guy on 3rd and 1 out something the team they're playing on their way to passing the Twins for 4th place usually can't do. (they have their sights squarely on the Twins as it's easier than the Tigers!)

You think way too highly of them, they didn't even need the 8th or 9th to get there!!!

The frightening thing is.....there's always next year.

My God, these games are like Tales From The Crypt.

Only scarier.
