Golden St putting a beat down on the Celtics. Big game James having another good night.

I'd love to see him stay but realistically they arent going to be very good next year unless some stunning development occurs which is unlikely. The fear that I have if he stays is that they go out and overpay a bunch of 2nd and 3rd tier guys to contend in the East and then mortgage the future again by trading Hardaway or more draft picks in some pathetic attempt to jump Indiana or Miami because Dolan orders them to.

So essentially as a Knicks fan you almost have to hope they get worse so that Dolan and his minions cant possibly have some on the fly pseudo-contender plan that involves trading for some corpse like Steve Nash. Pretty pathetic really.

Don't look now but the Nets are over .500 and playing some pretty good basketball the last few games.

The guy didn't suddenly forget how to score Chuck. People acted as if there's no precedent for struggling players in crappy situations reviving their careers with a fresh start on a better team. Like I said right after the trade, we gave up two rusty anchors for a 26YO proven scorer to come off the bench. The opposite of a lateral move.

The schedule is pretty soft the rest of the way too. Toughest stretch is probably next week: v TOR, @ MIA, @ WSH, v PHX. After that, it's a lot of bad teams. Good chance to get that 3-seed.

Hey I didnt come on here and say anything after he lit the Bulls up for 3 the other day! You are correct in that he has provided scoring and the other two corpses they traded away couldnt even do that but I find it so interesting that he can provide almost no impact on a game except for points.

In 115 minutes played in NJ he has 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 0 blocks, 6 TO's and 2 fouls. His per 36 min averages are bizarre. He doesn't even commit turnovers or foul anyone.

I'm not saying that you are wrong because he has provided scoring and you live in Jersey City now and people from there usually carry Uzi's but just pointing out how unusual it is for a player to become so absolutely one dimensional.

LOL. Guess you haven't been to JC in a while. I'm about to move back to Brooklyn because it's cheaper than my neighborhood.

I like 2 games tonight.
Went 1-1 on Tuesday night.
I like Miami money line plus 130
Phoenix money line plus 225

$100 for 130
$100 for 225.

RockHardTen1985 03-06-2014 07:56 PM

Miami looks like **** tonight.

Better put the mask back on... The Spurs are tough when they're healthy and when they want to play.

Good call with the Suns

There have been some horrific nationally televised games this year. For example the game on TNT right now. 73-40 Clippers over Lakers at half.

Grizzlies-Bulls & Pacers-Rockets should be a bit better tonight.

Gotta have those Lakers on national TV!

Imagine if that Suns-OKC game had been on TNT like it should have been.

It's pretty much just because the Knicks and/or Lakers are on national TV every other day it seems.

That OKC/PHX game was awesome. Jeff Hornacek is coach of the year hands down.

I wouldnt be surprised to see some sort of flex scheduling in the future, at least for the TNT game which is the only games of the week that they cover.

He might be coach of the decade

cmorioles 03-07-2014 12:06 PM

Now we get Lakers / Thunder on national tv twice in five days.

Cannon Shell 03-07-2014 12:06 PM

Adam Silver is going to need to come up something creative because 1/3 of the league is either tanking outright or just not trying very hard. The draft despite some talk to the contrary is very deep and a lot of teams will get really good players to build around but there is some truth in that very few will be impact players right off the bat. The you look at the Free Agent class for the coming year and you see very few players that will move the dial for some of these bad teams. RFA's are rarely lost to the teams that currently have them, a lot of the older UFA's arent going anywhere and there are virtually no other impact players available on the open market.

Carmelo Anthony isnt going to bad team
Lebron isnt going to a bad team
Dirk isnt going to a bad team
Evan Turner hardly made an impact on a terrible team where he had pretty much a free hand
Gordon Hayward is likely to resign in Utah but isnt a star player by any means
Deng is a nice player but he hasnt exactly lit the world up in Cleveland and the Bulls havent missed a beat without him
Greg Monroe might be available in a sign and trade but he is more of a nice player than a star
Bosh isnt going anywhere unless Miami has some sort of other plan in mind. Even then he'd likely go to Dallas which is a team that is trying
Bledsoe is a lock to stay in PHX
Wade isnt going anywhere
Pau Gasol is a good player but is slipping and probably doesnt want to go to a rebuilding team
Lance Stevenson is most likely staying in Indy and isnt a great fit on a bad team
Kyle Lowery is a good player but isnt making anyone 10 games better
Shawn Marion and Paul Pierce have forks ready
Spencer Hawes?
Rodney Stuckey?
Gortat is going to stay in Wash
Granger is a shell
Chalmers and Ray Allen are probably staying and arent stars
Nick Young? Trevor Ariza?

Cannon Shell 03-07-2014 01:15 PM

What do you think about Z-Bo? Do you think he stays with Memphis or decides to move on?

RockHardTen1985 03-07-2014 10:21 PM

Hardens going beast mode right now.

NTamm1215 03-07-2014 10:46 PM

Rockets are playing great, and Indiana looks like s.hit.

I'd be shocked if he left though you can never underestimate some team vastly overpaying him in a soft year

Making a big move for that 1 seed. I just hope they dont finish 3 and play Golden St in the first round. Hopefully when its all said and done Houston can be 1 or 2 and Golden St can get up to 4 or 5.

RockHardTen1985 03-08-2014 07:59 PM

Maybe its a giant trap, because the line seems about double what it should be, but I love UNC plus 9 at Duke right now.
Im throwing some of my Santa Anita winnings on them.

Lol I got sucked into a trap. Should have known huge win streak and still 9 point dog., SMH!!!

RockHardTen1985 03-09-2014 05:29 PM

Is it just me, or is OKC totally falling apart? 42 from Jodie Meeks? Come on man.... And my Houston might get the #1 seed prediction does not look so crazy right now.

You still don't believe the West is wide open?

The rust is off...just a different team when Durant defers to Westbrook.

You could make a case for 6 teams, and I would listen.
IMO only 4 can come out....
OKC, Houston, Clippers and Golden St.
I think San Antonio is in trouble and POrtlands not there yet.

You're wrong about the Spurs, they have a legit chance. It's like I've been saying all along...it's going to come down to who gets hot going into the playoffs and who is healthy.

ateamstupid 03-09-2014 07:15 PM

Marcus Thornton watch: 11-15, 27 points against his old team. Reggie Evans 1 point, Jason Terry on a beach somewhere.

I know he was bad against the Celtics, but the whole team didn't show up for that one. 4-for-30 from 3. Blech.

RockHardTen1985 03-09-2014 07:25 PM

Good game going on right now between Houston and Portland, I think Houston will rally for the W.

RockHardTen1985 03-09-2014 09:01 PM

What a game and Big Game James is going off again. Making a late push for MVP as Lebron and KD and George all struggle.

Duvalier 03-09-2014 09:03 PM

F-L-O-P

NTamm1215 03-09-2014 09:53 PM

That was an awesome game. Rockets needed it with an incredibly tough 3 game stretch starting Tuesday. They're at OKC (Tuesday), at Chicago (Thursday) and at Miami (Sunday).
