That's a crock of ****. Beholder had a perfect trip and Both stellar wind and unbridled forever had every opportunity to run past the top 2 and couldn't in the stretch. They had no answer when it counted

At least the Trujillo whereabouts case has been solved....now let's get to that fixed photo in the BC.

You already used that line. Apparently handicapping 5 horse fields all week long has stifled your creativity.

Alabama Stakes 12-14-2016 07:07 PM

Winners few and far between too on the inner....still a puzzle after all these years.

Such a puzzle in fact, racing at Aqueduct has been rumored to have served Erno Rubik as his major source of inspiration. I only hope you guys realize how fortunate you are to have Andy to help guide you through the unsolvable maze that is the Inner.

Though leaving California was enough for them to give it to local hero Beholder.

That's nothing short of delusional. Photo finishes aren't decided by where a horse has raced. They're decided by who finishes in front. The camera doesn't care what coast we're talking about.

What next? Gotta prove they really landed on the Moon? Spot any chemtrails over the hay to be fed to West Coast horses?

Hey, chemtrails are proven to exist. The faked moon landing theory is right up there with the Songbird conspiracy idea.

Heck, I'll believe Swale was really electrocuted by a radio while being bathed way before the Songbird was robbed theory.

lol stop man. Like I said in my response. Just relax.

Indian Charlie 12-15-2016 12:55 AM

Alabama, what makes your idea even more comical is that your avatar doesn't appear to be a mirror image. It shows the outside horse in front and the text on the rail isn't reversed. Your rants and reasoning keep showing you as wrong.

Alabama Stakes 12-15-2016 01:16 AM

The mirror is in the background showing where they are on the track....at the finish line, not after the finish line, where the photo they posted was taken. Get it ?

TouchOfGrey 06-15-2017 01:56 PM

Songbird by a nose in the Odgen Phipps. :D

I think the bird won on the mirror image photo

jms62 06-15-2017 02:09 PM

Not as close as it looks the bird is a length and a half short

Alabama Stakes 06-15-2017 02:14 PM

Must be easier than I thought to resize photos if knicks lying can do it. Oh yeah, someone did it for him

cakes44 06-15-2017 04:14 PM

Time to throw in the towel on that one bud. You've got some decent opinions, but holding onto that one just ends up cancelling all of them out.

Flatterer 07-04-2017 02:38 PM

Delaware Handicap Grade 1....1 1/4 miles dirt for 3 and up fillies and mares on July 15, 2017 is the next race for Songbird. How many runners will show up????

a lot, reading twitter she is very vulnerable

Alabama Stakes 07-04-2017 07:36 PM

Kind of like the way Rambo was vulnerable in first blood ? She will run them off their feet and break their spirit forever.

The only horse nominated that has any chance is Paid Up Subscriber. As you know, the Stakes races for that division are always very thin. I think Dallas Stewart made a mistake not taking her on at 1 1/4 with Forever Unbridled.

Which is interesting, if I wanted to face her during the season (non BC) I would prefer to do it at 10 furlongs.

Field is pitiful. Im sure she will fire her usual 96 and win.

blackthroatedwind 07-15-2017 12:26 AM

Songbird is a classic litmus test horse for people that get fooled by wins.

Zenyatta is a much better example.

Winning is the name of the game.

Dallas Stewart is smart not running his mare against this superstar filly who would break her spirit forever. ( pun intended)

Maybe you should have been paying attention last summer when she was right under your nose. You might have learned something that would pick up your game. Try looking at the actual hoss flesh and try to expand your game. It's not all racing forms and replays. It's not just you watching replays with a couple of guys at the replay booth or center. Everyone can click and watch any replay they want. Your bread and butter is much more accessible than ever and you must adjust or get left behind. You must know that you're slipping. Watch Songbird tomorrow. Try to see her greatness. Think back to Go For Wand. Even a rockhead could take one look at her and know she was special. Like a gift from God. Remember how exciting ng it was to see her in the flesh. Songbird might be that good.

Alabama Stakes 07-15-2017 01:05 AM

Zen

Passed all she faced except one. And just missed. Ran by Every hoss in every race. What is it you are missing ?

Reasonable analogy.

However, at least Songbird runs in the right races and travels. It's not her fault her competition last year was ( outside of the BC ) a joke. She also has dangerous speed. But, undefeated records are pretty much due to a confluence of events which rate to include a lot of luck....especially when the horses with those records aren't particularly fast.

Even last year, after Arrogate clearly demonstrated the difference between mediocre supposed divisional leaders and actual greatness, the confusion regarding Songbird continues.

Alabama Stakes 07-15-2017 01:32 AM

Back to back breeders cup classics are not the right races ?

It's a travesty they didn't bring Zenyatta to Saratoga, but don't blame the hoss.

Well I certainly agree with 4 words of the post "might be that good"...Will see maybe too date she isnt very fast but she may take a step forward

I feel like I accidentally tuned in to a TV Evangelist broadcast.

Oh, it was no accident on your part. Reading it is much like rubber necking an accident you drive by on the road.

cakes44 07-15-2017 05:40 PM

Yeah, that wasn't good. Reeks of Rachel Alexandra as a 4-year-old.

Alabama Stakes 07-15-2017 05:41 PM

I don't like the way she was walking after the race :(
