Some of the younger folks may not remember, but there was a horse named "Stinky Dinky" that ran on the NYRA circuit maybe 8-10 years back. Does anyone remember? Some other favorites

Bella Belluci - I'm sure that's spelled wrong
High Peaks

sundaysilenceforever 08-02-2007 07:14 AM

I liked Winrwinrchkndiner....RIP boy.

"My Balls" would be funny, especially if scratched at the gate...
There's already a "Golden Balls" and "Silver Knockers". Now that could be a pairing with some great name possibilities!

Great Horse Names

Two from AP this year come to mind..

Thong or Pantys

Sirwinzalot

This subject comes up once every few months, and I give the same answer everytime. There was a low-level claimer that ran at Canterbury in the mid-90s called
Spanky Clean.
Best ever!

Heels1989 08-02-2007 08:53 AM

Current favorite name: Panty Raid

And as a kid, my family owned a couple of standardbreds who ran over at Saratoga Harness: Magnificent Wooo and Time To Bet

Cajungator26 08-02-2007 09:35 AM

Bodacious Tatas and Smelly still top my list.

justindew 08-02-2007 10:09 AM

Sorry if any of these have already been named:

Tihs Ho (spell it backwards)- I think this was a filly who ran at Keeneland a lot when I was in college back in the late 90s.

Thunderpumper- Ran a Churchill at least once, I think.

Shesastonecoldfox- Ran in the 2001 BC Juv. Fillies.

PPerfectfan 08-02-2007 10:30 AM

Years ago there was a QH filly named Patched Panties. Also one named Barbara Mandell.

megahertz, very cool little horse.

viscount26 08-02-2007 03:49 PM

I remember a female trainer in England running one called Mary Hinge, but the name was changed, when someone pointed it out to the jockey Club. And thats an inside joke for the Brits and Irish on here
:D

There is a cool little Quarterhorse that runs on the Arizona Fair Circuit named "Chicks Got Secrets".

There is another that runs here called "He's Bold". I always liked him because of his trainer, who speaks very, very little English. I remember the first time that he entered him this spring that I was taking entries, the trainer came up and entered "EEEE's Boooouuuud". I couldn't figure it out at all. He kept on saying "EEEE's Boooouuuud". I finally looked up the papers and found that he was called "He's Bold". A decent $1,000 claimer around here, but one of my favorites...

letswastemoney 08-02-2007 04:11 PM

There's a maiden claimer around Del Mar named Nosey Britches...

brianwspencer 08-02-2007 04:11 PM

Thong or Panties.

Do you remember opening day, there was a F&M race with several great ones. Naughtylilhottie, Sexy Operator, and Wild Sissy. Very fitting for opening day, and one that I had to make a comment about on ATR that day.

There was also a horse that was way overbet that day called Coronas at Delmar....

packerbacker7964 08-02-2007 04:23 PM

AN Arky breed name BOOOOOOZZZZZIng as Terry Wallace would call him. ANd Bubba Menkus Pat Day rode him back in the day. I remember a Horse name Whoseinthelead. Now that would be a funny race call. At the wire it's Whoseinthelead.

ALostTexan 08-02-2007 06:35 PM

I was right there with you her. Trust me...

mikekay 08-02-2007 07:03 PM

Wasn't there a horse named 'Runts Cash'?

The Indomitable DrugS 08-02-2007 07:06 PM

He raced 11 years and made 134 starts I looked him up.

Cunning Stunt ran during the same time period.

rontheman1964 08-02-2007 07:52 PM

Favorite horse names...(mostly from the Midwest)

DropYourDrawers (another Terry Wallace classic call)

Amadevil, Roman Zipper, Prom Crasher (Paul and Orville Kemling owned and trained)

Papa Hans

Horse racing is full of classic names that just roll off of your tongue...

How about O.B.G.Y.N. Raced at Aqueduct in the early 80's. They made Marshall Cassidy pronounce it AHBGIN until he finally would say O B GYN !
