I didn't watch all of it, turned off the game halfway thru the first of. Not surprised chi won, but props to Minn for their good showing.

It would have been a little better if Fleury had kicked that puck into the net.

I don't care how they lose, as long as they lose! Other people will get the blame, but the supposed best player in the world scored one whole goal in the postseason...malkin carried that team both series.

knickslions2 05-14-2014 07:59 AM

Awesome win by the Rangers!!!

If that happened I might've died on the spot

Don't think I would have died, but I probably would have needed some paper towels or a sock to clean up a mess.

They were dominated during the last 10 minutes of each period last night. I still am not sure where that puck went that hit the stick in front of Henrik in the crease; I finally settled on the puck dropping between his legs before he sat back.

Boyle was fantastic last night.

GO HABS!

I think it was a very strong performance against a team that was heralded as an offensive juggernaut. Wasn't going to be a perfect game, but it was a strong performance on the road in a game 7.

I think the puck got caught in his jersey some how.

Just sit back and enjoy the game tonight, whoever it is, it is. They have shown they can play with anyone.

Long live the King.

Rudeboyelvis 05-14-2014 12:45 PM

It is great to see Marty move on and more importantly, the conditional draft pick we received for him is now a first round pick ;)

Good Luck - rooting for NYR the rest of the way

God bless that man's armpit.

Love this reaction GIF. I was doing the same thing as Richards at that time.

Brassard is the best, he just doesn't know what to do with himself.
Little Matt and I were going nuts too.

He was looking for someone to hug!

It was really a blast. We watched at the Stout viewing party near MSG. After the game, to be among the hundreds of euphoric fans spilling out into the streets, high-fiving random strangers, then to look up and see the Empire State Building in red, white and blue...it was one of those moments that reminds you why you care so much about sports.

declansharbor 05-14-2014 01:53 PM

LET'S GO FLYE...errrrr, Fly Eagles Flyyy -- on the road to victoryyy! :D

Danzig 05-14-2014 04:58 PM

i was never so happy to see the rangers win a game before.

listened to nhl radio quite a bit this morning, and i must say it was rather hilarious.

i think the best part was when rossy and kern were discussing an email sent by an enraged sindy crosby fan, raging about people criticizing his favorite player.
sidney deserves criticism..he didn't play like a star player, didn't lead like a captain.
the whole team has issues, but he certainly deserves a share of the blame for what happened.

now...go habs go!

Danzig 05-14-2014 08:51 PM

You stay classy, Boston fans......

GBBob 05-14-2014 10:39 PM

lol...Bawstun strong is classless in the stands and in the locker room

And I grew up there...

Russell Earl Dent

herkhorse 05-15-2014 06:11 AM

Boston fans boo their own team when they are only down one goal. :zz:

soooo glad they lost.

Danzig 05-15-2014 07:33 AM

wasn't it lucic griping about vancouver fans? yeah, they got nothing on boston.

Only thing is, Lucic is going to back it up with his fists next year. Sour grapes or not, the man can throw his hands.

Does him no good now, as the best team in the league (pts wise) is out. Maybe he should have been more concerned with lighting lamp, than being a douche.

Real low class move in the handshake line by a low class guy.

Maybe he was, up until the game ended and the grapes kicked in.

For a guy who didn't show up this series, his +/- could be a hell of a lot worse, esp with the amount of ice time he had.

As bad as he played, Chara played significantly worse last night.

absolutely low class. maybe he should get a water bottle squirt type fine for his unsportsmanlike conduct.

hoovesupsideyourhead 05-16-2014 06:55 AM

go blackhawks!!

Danzig 05-16-2014 07:24 AM

whoever wins, ducks or kings, is going to have a tough go of it vs chi. very tough.

on the way home, i also heard that lucic told weise (the guy he didn't spear in the 'nads) that he was 'going to kill him next year'.

that's awesome. stay boston strong there lucic.

As a Hawk's fan, it's a choice between Home Ice or not having to deal with Quick. Will just see how it plays out..I can't remember a West Conf playoff schedule that has had less travel than this though. It's like being able to play in the East and just Amtrak everywhere:D

i was listening to the radio late yesterday...they said that quick's game 7 record is amazing. the ducks are going to have a tough go of it. i'm hoping the ducks go all the way. i want boudreau to get vindication because i think mcphee jumped the gun when he let him go...and then there's matthieu perrault, who was my favorite caps player and they traded him last fall. argh, still makes me mad. i'd love to see him holding the cup (which is probably taller than he is, i always root for short people like me!).

but i think chicago is the top team left standing-and quite possibly the best to make the post season. they have depth, a good goalie, they just seem the total package.

I'll take home ice, Shawed not stirred with a twist of Montreal thrown in.

I've been reviewing the rules, one chapter a night and am almost half-way done. ;)

You think we'll stand out? :D

And big question is will Marko be able to get his Irish Car Bomb shots?

Danzig 05-16-2014 07:44 PM

Now I'm really pulling for Anaheim. I don't want today to be teemus last game.

Danzig 05-16-2014 08:54 PM

not looking good for the ducks so far.

damn.

Danzig 05-16-2014 10:42 PM

Hate to see selanne end his career with a loss in a game seven.

Nice sendoff, with the kings joining in the salute to a great player and great guy.

Teemu is amazing. What an incredible career! To play at the level he played for 22 years is remarkable.
