I can look at the 5 derby futures bets I made last fall...
Music School and Half Ours...ouch!

What about....
Blazing Rate
Royal Legacy
Enforcement
Peace Chant
Fabled
In Summation
Point of Impact
Twisting Road
Bashert
Killimanjaro
Royal Legacy

I know Enforcement has been working steadily for his return.

slotdirt 10-04-2006 09:29 AM

Music School...can't even remember what happened to him.

Your Tent or Mine. Anyone know or can anyone remember, did he officially retire?

He broke his maiden in one of his first starts. He's just never crossed the finish line first since he won on a DQ.

I don't think so. I thought they were going to try and bring him back next year.

Thanks for the info. I couldn't remember. Just a horse I remember having in my rttr contest. Thought he maybe a good one to keep an eye on.

Linny 10-04-2006 10:26 AM

In Summation is still running in Fla. Fabled ran in the last week or two as well.

BellamyRd. 10-04-2006 11:40 AM

Bro Lo & Bernardini, the former I haven't heard much from, the latter I haven't seen much from

cakes44 10-04-2006 12:42 PM

Bro Lo lost his comeback race in a 5f turf race at Hollywood. I don't think he's raced since.

Seattleallstar 10-04-2006 12:53 PM

that fusaichi samurai

cakes44 10-04-2006 01:01 PM

fusaichi samurai...now that is a good one that I completely forgot about. Didn't Espinoza say that he had a chance to be the greatest horse of all time or something unreal. I don't think he won anything other than his maiden.

Antitrust32 10-04-2006 02:07 PM

Let me try it and I will write down the steps.

OK, hit the "paperclip" button and it should let you attach the picture to the post.

cakes44 10-04-2006 02:28 PM

Rusty Trombone, Angry Dragon, Cleveland Steamer, Carpet Cleaner, Table Time, or possibly even Cincinnati Bowtie.

:( i tried but the pic is too many KB's. I am going to get the pic up somehow. Maybe SweetnorthernByk will help me!

Downthestretch55 10-04-2006 03:00 PM

Buffy,
I also tried. I was going to put up a pick of the new colt, the one that's 3X3 to Alydar. He's getting big fast. Looks like something to me.
Anyway, it wouldn't load from my computer.

Point of Impact. I had high hopes for that guy.. looks like he has immense talent, but no mental game. If he ever figures it out..look out!

Antitrust32 10-04-2006 05:33 PM

thanks for the creative names. I am thinking about doing the pinhooking thing and selling her as a 2yo in training. Does anyone know that if I am selling her back do I name her or her new owners name her?

I should name her "Show me the Money!"

hmm...is there a deadline? i know a lot of people would prefer to name their horse themselves. than they can bestow such grandiose names as the green monkey and bodacious tatas. or maybe isitingood....

Thats funny, I have always liked Isitingood. I graduated from the University of Arizona in december and while I was there my friend Ashley told me that her family had race horses. I asked her what the names of the horses were and one of them was Isitingood! I couldnt believe it... so funny.

I remember hearing a race call and a horse was called Backdoor Man or something along the line. The announcer was like... "and backdoor man comes from behind!" Some of those names make me crack up

you can name her if you want but I think most of the time the new owners just change it anyway.

YellowSnowMonster 10-04-2006 08:40 PM

Music School fractured a leg from what I remember.

Achilles of Troy... I can't remember exactly what happened to him, but I think he suffered some fairly significant injury as well....

As for Fusaichi Samurai, that horse was never the same after he was injured, he doesn't even LOOK the same. I am not sure if it's his back or what, but it's not the same horse, if he hadn't gotten injured and been able to progress normally, he would have really been something.
