not sure i will be able to watch the caps today. apparently the station here is going to show a local telethon instead, but we're hoping it's not the case. satellite radio as a back-up, but i will not be happy if i can't watch!

yay, troy! finally, after about 100 minutes of trying, we score on tim.
|
NICKY!!!!!!!!!
i got in the shower while tony was raising hell with nbc in monroe. the telethon was over, but they didn't change to the game. i came out, he'd paused it as they finally put it on. backstrom, so glad he's back from his concussion. 1-1, going home. |
Lots of physical violent games last night. Next week should be very interesting.

Blackhawks..Score Game 1 to tie with 14 secs and score Game 2 to tie with 5.1 secs..livin' on the edge. Back home tied at 1. Coyote fans loud but I'm not sure they really know what's going on?
|
Shittsburgh is a bunch of sore losing pu$$ies!! I love it!
|
asham is a punk. can't stand that guy.
|
wow, neal just made those two pay. should have gone for a simple poke check, rather than trying to crunch him. oops
|
The officiating in the NHL right now is a disgrace. Talk about losing control of a game? These guys are clueless.
|
i blame bylsma. he should never have left neal out there after that hit. and then neal promptly goes after giroux. i guess he figured he's not going to play the next game after leaving his feet and taking out couterier?
what a mess, will they ever start play again? |
ought to be a heck of a game wed.....
|
I think the Neal hit on Couterier was an accident. Not the one on Giroux, though.
It would be a better game Wednesday if Pittsburgh holds goaltender tryouts between now and then. Fleury was a sieve today. |

i don't think it was. |

133 minutes in penalties handed down in the game today. 62 just for the last bit-guess they wanted to outdo their last regular season match-up. i think they did!

i wonder if he can skate?? |

“I know Marc-Andre Fleury will be the guy in the net in our next four games,” Bylsma told reporters after Sunday’s 8-4 loss.

i'm figuring he's just looking ahead to next season. fleury is on quite the streak...he's now 0-6 in his last six playoff games. but maybe insanity is contagious? i was wondering if crosby had suffered permanent brain damage when he decided to grab hartnell late in the third. he's lucky he only bled a little. |
heckuva game tho in fla. i can't stand brodeur and love seeing people score on him. and he's lucky on that one in the third, puck made it by him but just sat in the paint. brodeur just glad one of his guys got to it first.
1 minute left. |

Onward and upwards (for us)!! |
wow. flash! man, i wish he was still with the caps.

i've never cared for him. and he gets so much attention because he's from north america rather than being a russian... i don't care for the flyers. but man i've enjoyed seeing them pummel pitt. and i know i wouldn't enjoy it if the roles were reversed. |
congrats to fla, who finally gets a playoff win. been a while.
now, vancouver/kings. will taking luongo out of the net be the difference? |

He says Hagelin's spotless record was taken into consideration? What does he get if he's a repeat offender, 15 games? So the Rangers dress John Scott tonight, send him after Spezza, and hope one of Ottawas better players jumps in so both can be thrown out, just like what happened Saturday? Carkner, when he dresses, which is infrequently, might play 6 minutes. That one game suspension really hurts the Senators. |

once again, lack of consistency. one thing i don't like is they seem to consider whether the victim of the blow(s) suffered serious injury. what does that matter? the intent is to injure. if some are able to escape serious injury, why should the offender get less time? carkners punishment is a laughable joke. webers, as well. i wonder what asham will get after his bs behavior yesterday? smith will get games-and i don't think there was intent at all in that case. but they're protecting goalies these days like they do qb's in the nfl. look at how many goalie interference calls there are these days, it's hilarious. and the refs are inconsistent as well. holtby gets a 2 minute minor for hitting a bruin the other day, thomas gets nothing for hitting backstrom in the face. but the elbow's seem to be flying right now, and that needs to stop. i'm all for big hits, but there's no need for that crap. neal better get something for going after giroux yesterday. he obviously targeted the guys' head, and got it. and i still think his hit on couterier was intentional, that guy has been sid and gino's cross to bear thus far this series. and yeah, crosby is a douche. what's up with him sticking the guys glove away from him yesterday? he's like a five year old out there. but then, i think the coach is setting a bad example, the C is following right along, and the whole team is imploding. |

carkner, drops boyle....... a 3rd line guy i think james neal should be getting a call as well, just my two cents on that though -bt- |

For the record, they are saying thatAlfreddsson did suffer a concusion, but he is a game time decision tonight. As far as Carkner goes, he's a 6th defenseman that wasn't going to see a lot of time, going after a Rangers player that does log a lot of time. I would think that Carkner also has some sort of past issues with the league office. So I'm not sure how he only gets 1 game for a pre meditated attack. I think Sergei Bobrovsky might be the only player that is safe not to get a call from the league in that series. |
