You beat me too, busy at work lol! Adam Schefter has it too. Tebow goes up for trade I just heard.

mclem0822 03-19-2012 11:01 AM

Any takers for the 31st ranked passer in the NFL last season Timmy Tebow. :D

Antitrust32 03-19-2012 11:26 AM

great. i wonder if that makes my denver Tebow jersey more or less valuable? lol

at least I dont have to bother following the Broncos next year.

Clip-Clop 03-19-2012 11:27 AM

Guessing I might have to change my listed location...

I like the sound of that.

mclem0822 03-19-2012 11:53 AM

Unless Alex Smith is a total knucklehead, I would think he re-signs now in SF. Which still leaves the Dolphins out. Do they trade for Tebow, or just draft the best prospect left on the board? This idiot owner seems to wanna sell seats, Tebow would do that, if nothing else lol! They are hosting David Garrad today

Coach Pants 03-19-2012 11:55 AM

Jets fans have to laugh. The Favre disaster will be a distant memory.

Relieved the Titans didn't get him. We've got The Hurt Locker.

Yeah but the balls in his court. Miami is the wildcard cause they have struck out so far and quite possibly could offer him a ridiculous contract.

mclem0822 03-19-2012 12:00 PM

Another deal....

RB Mike Tolbert signs with Carolina. Could there be a RB released there, Jonathan Stewart perhaps, would Cleveland be a possibility to sign him, then do they draft a QB a number 3? Or would Cleveland be interested in Tebow, that would thrill the fan base

timmgirvan 03-19-2012 12:00 PM

Jacksonville might be in the mix for Tebow

Oh your right, they may back up the truck. But from a talent standpoint, in my opinion SF are closer than Mia.

I would have agreed week before last but they signed Henne bro. Who I think is a bit overrated, but they have him and Gabbert so I doubt it. The fans here would be thrilled, other than myself lol! I may live here, but I remain loyal to the Redskins!

I believe the Jets signed QB Drew Stanton. But they extended Sanchise for some damn reason!

Hey Stanton might be a halfway decent backup.

Hell if they opened the competition, he may win the damn job Coach, but the $ tied up in Sanchez won't allow it I would'nt think.

My tongue was firmly planted in my cheek lol! He may retire, although it may not be a big story elsewhere, but in the news last year was a story of Brunell filing for bankruptcy. So he may still need the checks, even if only as a holder and or clipboard holder! But I was only kidding.

Henne is mediocre...Gabbert needs work....Tebow could fit right in

Danzig 03-19-2012 01:20 PM

i don't think he's 45..yet. yeah, saw he declared bankruptcy. who knows, someone may need an over-the-hill back up.

Now that is a perfect fit.

Coach Pants 03-19-2012 02:14 PM

Yeah he's got potential to be great.

Clip-Clop 03-19-2012 02:29 PM

via Twitter (though I think it is fake...) "Tebow to Redskins for 85 million and 32 draft picks."

Guess they outbid the Pats cuz I heard they were interested too. He's very good, if he can stay healthy he's a hitter for sure!

He is good against the run and hits hard but has been a liability in pass defense

Cover is not the strongest part of his skills, i do agree.

mclem0822 03-20-2012 09:35 AM

What if.....

Peyton gets what is being reported which is 5 years $90-95 million is what I have heard. If he can get that coming off missing an entire season, and 4 or 5 neck procedures, what is Drew Brees gonna ask for? Talk about leverage lol!

mclem0822 03-20-2012 10:02 AM

Adam Schefter reports....

Peyton's deal is done 5 years $96 million, tentative press conference this afternoon.

Coach Pants 03-20-2012 11:17 AM

One hit could turn Elway from hero to zero.

This town is split about 55-45 right now anyway. Loads of angry people who have that fear and still think Tebow is the answer. I think its a great move, the guy is one of the best to ever do it and Docs say he is cool. No details on the protections in the contract though I am sure there are MANY.

Coach Pants 03-20-2012 11:58 AM

40 mil guaranteed if he passes a physical. That's a hefty contract.
