Is Rule going in the Classic? The DMile would prolly be alot better for him
Also if PFR does not win the OK Derby would he go onto the Classic? |
I'm dying to have So You Think in the Classic field, mostly cause I think he has absolutely no chance.

As for Prayer for Relief.....he's not that good....and Baffert knows enough not to expose him in the Classic. |
How come To Honour and Serve is getting no love. Can't knock his last 2 races. Are they planning on starting him in the Classic ?

He didn't look good the final furlong of the Pennsylvania Derby, either, compared to his Saratoga allowance win. He seemed to struggle a little bit late, and considering the added distance and likely pace scenario of the Classic, he's up against it. |
Awesome Gem to miss Breeders' Cup
By David Grening Awesome Gem, an 8-year-old gelded son of Awesome Again, has been taken out of training because of a hind end issue that will force him to be given 60 days off, according to Terry Finley, president of West Point Thoroughbreds, the owners of Awesome Gem. That means Awesome Gem will be forced to miss next month's Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs. Awesome Gem was being considered for either the Classic or the Dirt Mile. Awesome Gem has competed in a Breeders' Cup race each of the last four years. In 2007, he finished third to Curlin in the Classic; in 2008, he ran sixth to Goldikova in the Mile; in 2009 he ran seventh to Zenyatta in the Classic; in 2010 he was seventh to Eldaafer in the Marathon. |
How good is Uncle Mo right now ? Can anyone remember Pletcher(he of the cookie cutter 1.01 works for all his stable) working a horse this quick ?
I hate to key off a horse coming off smashing wins and stretching out for the first time to 1 1/4(ie: Twirling Candy, Bellamy Road etc) who is going to be overbet but ??. If Pletcher sends him out next week and works a mile in 1.33 I'll know he watched the Secreteriat movie. |

I think it's going to be a challenge beating him. Then again, he is cross entering into the Dirt Mile. |
Does anyone know if So You Think is coming? I wonder if his narrow loss cost him a trip to the breeders cup?
