Wasn't Running Stag like 99-1 in the '98 BC Classic even though he had won like 3 major handicaps that year?

RolloTomasi 12-01-2010 06:15 PM

No, he won 3 major stakes in '99 not '98.

However, he was 104-1 in the '98 Classic. Didn't start in the '99 edition.

I was just looking over his PPs.. for some reason they skipped the Classic in 99... He had an enormous amount of miles on him, they shipped him just about everywhere.

KirisClown 12-01-2010 06:23 PM

Antitrust32 12-01-2010 06:36 PM

Unshaded and Albert the Great in the Travers. Hap won that day I think and More Than Ready won the King's Bishop? I could be wrong on those two.

iamthelurker 12-01-2010 08:00 PM

Albert the Great shoulda won that day.

I think you know why Mr.Serling.

You're right, that's Thoroughbred Corporation not Overbrook. Surfside was closing on the outside for 3rd after that awful trip.

Gosh, remember when D. Wayne was such a badass with 2YOs?

I know his previous rider wouldn't have dropped him to the dead fence like Chavez did.

Was Menifee always in Hancock silks? I seem to remember him in purple and yellow (with Humpty Dumpty or something on the back) earlier in his career. Maybe it was an every other race deal?

Travis Stone 12-02-2010 09:16 AM

Sea Hero?

I had a whole long diatribe identifying the horse amongst 3 Rokeby bays: You'd Be Surprised, Eastern Echo, and England Expects.

Your hint gave it away.

England Expects.
