OK, we're definitely not doing this every night, especially when I already established a college hoops play thread a few weeks ago.

It's all a guess at this point anyways.

You're probably right.

Same for the fb team...good, but not that big a deal.

Dahoss 12-01-2010 08:28 PM

I think 10 is an awful lot of points for Duke to be giving Michigan State. I took the Spartans.

asudevil 12-01-2010 11:27 PM

Let's take another stab tonight as we head into conference play:

Xavier(-7) vs Miami, OH 75-64 Miami, OH....Loss
Maryland (+1.5) vs Penn State 62-39 Maryland Winner
UC Irvine (-1) vs San Diego 90-82 UC Irvine Winner

clyde 12-01-2010 11:31 PM

Didn't you have Xavier -7??

clyde 12-01-2010 11:32 PM

Oh...I think I see.

"Miami loss" means Miami won...and you lost.

awful...really awful

Good lord, 39 points. How is that possible with a shot clock? Looks like another 2 win big 10 season in store for us. That performance is an embarrasment to humanity. That's at home too.

And Maryland didn't score in the first 6 minutes of the game! They were only up 6 at half. It should have been 85-39.

Nice job, I feel pretty good about my only future bet this year, 12/1 on MSU. I hated how they played in the Maui ordeal but after watching the game last night that Maui stuff looked motivation driven. The Big Ten being what it is this year will have them battle tested and Izzo will have them nice and tight for the NCAA tourney as a 2 seed

Thanks. You should feel pretty good about that bet. They played pretty well last night. There was a point they could have made it a 2 point game with about 6 minutes to go and missed a layup. After that Duke went on a little run and Michigan St. could never catch them. I'd take them at a neutral site without a doubt.

if he can turn them around it will be great

the problem is the campus , if you are a stud from nyc , where would you rather go chapel hill nc or jamaica queens

it's hard to get the top guys to stay , will see

I guess that a lot of the top recruits like the confines of Carnesecca Arena and MSG rather than Chapel Hill

I watched most of the 2nd half and I have to say I was less than impressed with Harrison Barnes. He looks like has all the tools but is a long way from having a grasp of what to do or how to control the flow of the game. Takes a lot of terrible shots.

I was only able to watch the last 5 min of yesterdays game, but he has looked lost out there at times. In their back to back losses to Minny and Vandy, I think he went a combined 4 for 25 from the field and I know he missed all his shots against Minny...like 0 for 12 or 13:wf. He needs to be a better rebounder too.

I just had to resurrect this thread to mention that St. John's is playing some lights-out clutch basketball right now.

I was hoping Joe had some more -34 point faves to mush.

Missouri, Memphis, et. al., would beg to differ. They're legit.

Our next 7 games are all against ranked teams :zz:

slotdirt 01-04-2011 04:12 PM

I think it's actually eight, no? Literally one of the toughest stretches quite possibly in college basketball history.

slotdirt 02-11-2011 03:04 PM

Re-resurrecting this thread to discuss the Duke and UConn dismantlings. I haven't verified this, but I can't imagine there are many teams with as many quality wins as STJ - five against the top 17 in RPI as of today.

Joey do you honestly believe Bama isn't making the tournament?

Coach Pants 03-12-2011 01:58 PM

Well they aren't now.

Can't wait for Grant to recruit some defenders that can shoot.

i heard on the radio yesterday. Bama wouldn't get in if they didn't beat UK. Bama plays hard and hustles but they just don't shoot well.
