A German mare; since they lost their inferiority complex and started sending their horses out of country to race, the Germans have been cleaning up in Italy and the South of France. Weather is a lot better than it is at home this time of year, too.

I love that they do that still over there. It has to be so fantastic for the horses. I know they used to do it at Del Mar years ago.

I really like how they just seem to take their time with horses over there and let them relax and have fun. None of this "hurry up gotta get to the track before the break" stuff. Majority of horses here are luck to be out of their stalls for 1 1/2 hours before going back in.

Black Caviar was incredible again today.

And, over on this side of the Tasman....

...Silent Achiever won again today in the Avondale Guineas. That makes three major stakes wins against the boys so far in 2012. She really looks like a special filly. I agree with jockey James McDonald - "I can't wait for Derby Day." Two weeks to go!

Look how she eases up and pricks her ears short of the line. She's done that in all of her wins this year.

Look at the smile on McDonald's face.. You can tell he's having a ball.

It has to be such an awesome feeling to be on a horse like that, knowing there is even more left in the tank.

And she's now the 2012 NZ Derby winner - the first filly to win it in 19 years. And, once again, she did it so easily. She won by two and a half lengths with her ears pricked.

Wow... Sorry I missed seeing it.
