We also like to start wars with countries that didn't attack us. Doesn't mean we should keep doing it.

Your right about the government not having $100 million. I guess O'Dumbass thinks our government has the money. Why would he care its not coming out his pocket or the rest of the Democratic morons. Hopefully the lady in Massachusetts loses the election for Senator. If im right O'Dumbass doesn't have his 60 votes which means hopefully he can take his health care bill and shove it straight up his ass along with the rest of his Democratic morons, who hopefully wont be in office much longer. |

having to spend millions on a senate race in massachusetts is the same as republicans playing defense in mississippi. i'm so depressed i'm watching sarah palin clips just to cheer myself up. nascar's post helped a little, too. thank's nascar. |

could someone post something else about how haitian's are all f'd up so we shouldn't do anything for them?
i don't know why but seeing stupid f'd up people use a disaster to kick the crap out of a dying society cheers me up. i worry i've become a misanthrope. but i have to admit i get some joy from your horrible timing. |

it's just that when i think it's impossible for people to sink lower, they usually do. as was the case with the advocacy here to send haiti a giant middle finger as the primary relief package. |

Hey no problem. It's not like the good ol' U.S. and A is not going to waste hundreds of millions helping the people of Haiti.
It would, however, be a nice change of pace to make Aristide foot the bill. Being as how he basically stole over $800 million. But nah...we're a country full of sissies and suckers. |
Satan's Letter to Pat Robertson
(From the startribune)
Dear Pat Robertson, I know that you know that all press is good press, so I appreciate the shout-out. And you make God look like a big mean bully who kicks people when they are down, so I'm all over that action. But when you say that Haiti has made a pact with me, it is totally humiliating. I may be evil incarnate, but I'm no welcher. The way you put it, making a deal with me leaves folks desperate and impoverished. Sure, in the afterlife, but when I strike bargains with people, they first get something here on earth -- glamour, beauty, talent, wealth, fame, glory, a golden fiddle. Those Haitians have nothing, and I mean nothing. And that was before the earthquake. Haven't you seen "Crossroads"? Or "Damn Yankees"? If I had a thing going with Haiti, there'd be lots of banks, skyscrapers, SUVs, exclusive night clubs, Botox -- that kind of thing. An 80 percent poverty rate is so not my style. Nothing against it -- I'm just saying: Not how I roll. You're doing great work, Pat, and I don't want to clip your wings -- just, come on, you're making me look bad. And not the good kind of bad. Keep blaming God. That's working. But leave me out of it, please. Or we may need to renegotiate your own contract. Best, Satan |

His show isn't sold to radio stations, it's given away. That's why he has any viewership at all, I'd guess - the small, local radio stations (think rural Iowa, middle of nowhere Kansas) get him for free to fill their air time. If these stations didn't have Rush, they'd have to repeat the local high school football game program at 12:30pm on a weekday. |
Maybe Rush is mad about the earthquake because he was planning taking to take a vacation in Haiti and taking his Viagra with him.

i know we're facing a tough time right now, but it absolutely pales in comparison to what the haitians are suffering. i don't begrudge any aid sent to them. will some go to the wrong people? of course, just like the tax dollars we spend here at home. i can't imagine going days without even the most simple resource-water.

He's gone beserkers these past few years. I used to listen to him maybe 15 years ago. Can't listen without getting sick to my stomach now. Maybe the drugs fried his brain, but I suspect he's just an old, angry bigot watching the world leave him and the other ignorant racists far behind. He no longer has anything to contribute to society except hate. |

i haven't listened to him in quite some time. i tuned in a few times to see what the hubbub was, and quickly tuned into something else. i've not heard the tampons comment, but 'feminazi' was enough for me to know he's not my type. whenever i see a comment that 'rush said____' i google it and read his blather. a good reminder of why i don't listen! can't believe anyone does really. |

I agree with you lets get our people out and the hell with Haiti. Where were they when 9/11 happened and what about Hurricane Katrina. Im sure they were looting in the streets in thier country. If i was on a boat and saw some Haitians trying to illegally enter our country I would make sure that whatever they are floating on capsizes. Why should our taxpaying money go to helping others out when we have American citizens who cant afford to buy food and clothing and are living on the streets. America needs to take care of Americans first. I also wish this countries leaders would tell the UN where to go. The UN is one of the biggest if not the biggest waste of an organization there is. All they do is cry USA please help us out. Who is supplying most of the peace keeping troops? What about giving the most aid? Someone tell me has the UN done anything? |

here's an analogy for you. you come to thanksgiving dinner, you and everyone else brings a dish. but your cousin, who lost his job and can't afford much doesn't bring anything. you tell him he can't eat? i apologize if that's a poor analogy, but i think your argument that 'haiti did nothing' etc, is absolutely ridiculous. what exactly is it that you think they should have done for us following 9-11 or katrina? these people can't help themselves, but you expect them to help us? we don't need anyone else's help. that would be like bill gates having his hand out at the salvation army. but, luckily for us who were lucky enough to be born in this country, we have the ability to help out others when they need it. i don't begrudge what aid we can send, nor should we stoop to the lesser amounts others give. we're better than that. there are other, more wasteful ways that the govt blows my money that i take great offense to. this i do not. those poor bastards had the great misfortune to be born in a place with 80% unemployment and no hope for better. now, they suffer this, and you're complaining? why don't you go to your sink right now, and poor yourself a glass of water-and thank your lucky stars that you could do that without a thought. they can't. |
