unlike football, which i think is better watched on tv because of replays, etc, hockey is best seen live. an awesome game to watch, i love it.
and i hate my caps are done....

good luck blackhawks. it doesn't really matter to me who wins the cup...as long as it isn't the penguins!

Laid an absolute egg last night! Fluery with the big save against Ovechkin on the breakaway and the 2 goals in 8 secs sealed the Caps fate.

when the pens got the fourth, i turned it off. i knew it was over then, and i saw no point in torturing myself.
maybe next year.

You're missing the point.

You're not playing bad.

You just don't deserve a Stanley Cup.

And present company excluded, since I actually like all of you, the majority of Hawks fans are the last SOBs who deserve to be happy about winning a Cup. Some sad sack, classless fans you encounter at a game when you're a kid stay with you a long, long time.

So yea, no matter how well you guys are playing, I'll be rooting for everyone who plays against you, every night, every time.

At least it'll only be three or four more games. And the worst case scenario? The Pens kick your ass in another Stanley Cup. I'll take either...though the sooner the better as far as I'm concerned.

No, I am pretty much right about that. She has been gifted at least two wins from recall, especially that stakes win. Greatest gift of all time because of Douglas being a buffoon

chucklestheclown 05-23-2009 01:02 AM

That was a good game. Too good, but at least the Hawks won.

I saw it this morning on Youtube. It was NOT interfence, the puck was right there in Havlat's skates. It was a shoulder to the head, but Havlat was leaning forward, with his head down.. Brutal hit, tough call.

As a Red Wing fan I'd love to go to one of these games in Chicago, but I doubt I would make it out of the areana alive. Heard the Chicago fans can be pretty brutal, especially towards Red Wing fans.

I have no need to gloat, my team has been golfing for some time now. Just happy that you're still not a Stanley Cup winner. Once the Avs are out, you guys can take the Pens to 7 games in the Cup next year and lose, and I'll still be happy just as long as you didn't win.

A borderline great season, no doubt. Just not good enough.

packerbacker7964 05-27-2009 09:53 PM

HHHooonnnnkkkkkk. The Blackhawks will always be Little Bro to the Wings. WIngs in 6 against the Pens. Flurry will have someone in front of him the whole series unlike when they were playing the Canes. The Canes never had anyone in front of Flurry. Enter the Red Wings.

chucklestheclown 05-27-2009 09:59 PM

Does Green Bay have a hockey team? Season ended just like it started, but inside.

In a fitting postscript to the season, Patrick Roy turned down the General Manager's position for the Colorado Avalanche yesterday. Presumably, he heard you were a big fan. Some obstacles off the ice are just insurmountable.

You would think that the Habs would have kept one of them if they thought either of them were any good. Then again they talk like Carey Price like he's the second coming. I personally think he's the most over rated goalie in the league. Reguardless Dani you have Varlarmov, he should be fine as long as they don't burn him out.

yeah, i'm hoping brent johnson will be back and healthy for next year, to play back up to varlamov. he was jose's back up this year-actually i thought he'd give theodore a run for his money for starting-but he got hurt and had to have hip surgery. that knocked him out for a few months. matter of fact, that was when they had the web manager suit up as back up for the first half of a game while varly travelled to meet up with the caps. crazy stuff.
