Just like he sees Mr."Team Player" carrying the team on his poor, tired back and just buzzing through any opponent in the playoffs.

I have a really dumb suggestion.

Let's allow the point guard on the Cavaliers to bring the ball up and run a play...if we have one. Let The FROZEN ONE then run around trying to loose those 2-3 man teams guarding him.

Possibly there will be an open man or even James might shake loose.

I know this goes against all accepted basketball logic.....but just for the heck of it.

pgardn 05-10-2008 03:12 PM

Who on the Cavs besides Lebron can shake loose on their
own? That would be helpful.
You have got one guy who
can make his own offense, one. The team as a whole is
just not that good but can stay close because they play D.

The team the Cavs happen to be playing have at least 4
guys that can create on THEIR OWN. And the Cavs are not
out of this thing yet.

Do you see this SportyFans?

That kind of stupidity takes practice...you have to REALLY want to get there.

Z can create his own shot better than most centers...West can create...Smith&Sasha also can....but they don't play much.I guess they get in James' way.

But show me another team who lets a big man take the ball and run the offense----which is him deciding what shot to take half the time.

This might be an easy "offense" to stop with half way smart opposing coaches on good teams.

Stop being an idiot,Gardner. You are looking at the whole thing the Witness way.....the unbiased answers are there ......it's very easy to see.

And they WON'T win it by playing this same way.

Think how good the Cavs would be playing an offense based in reality.

You are delusional.
The only guy West can get past is
Cassell. Rondo hog ties him.
The others dont play much because they are bad
basketball players that turn the ball over too much.

Z is one of the most immobile centers in the league.
He can shoot. But he cannot move his feet.

I am with you about Lebron taking the ball way too
much, always have said this. He ducks his head and
dives into bodies. But he is the best athlete EVER in
professional basketball. There has never been a guy
who is 6'8" and 250 lbs that moves and handles the ball
like he does.

Patience.

Brain transplants are waiting for you.
I will die before there will be one for me.

Brilliant jabberwhocky.

Th Cavs..as per GardenSnake...have only ONE player ( ONE )who can create his own shot-----

--the team they're playing has AT LEAST 4.

But the Cavs can still win.

Thud at your leisure.

And you make the same mistake the young prepubescent
ignorant casual fan that you are makes. You like the
dunk highlights also...

Defense. The Cavs play D. The Cavs
offense is the problem.

And one guy the Cavs
have is better at creating than anyone on the Celtics.

I need to flush saline up your nostrils and blow
your defective neurons out your ears.

So you think the Cavs record is above .500 without
Lebron? no way he answers this...

So I cant tell you its name.

Have you actually ever touched
a basketball? Maybe when all the DTers
gather at a summer spot you and I
can play. We can find a court in
some neighborhood.

And then all the DTers will see that
maybe you really are sane and will
be in overwhelming agreement to let you
on a smart thread.

Think it could happen?

The Celts defense is supposed to be better...the offense certainly is better.

And they have AT LEAST 4 creators....and we have just ONE.

All this according to you....and then you say"the Cavs can still win this."

I don't know about you,SportyFans, but this is not how to play Connect The Dots.

Mortimer 05-10-2008 06:03 PM

"So you think the Cavs record is above .500 without
Lebron?"

And where does this fit in with the issue of James and Brain Dust playing as they are in the play offs????

Why cannot you connect your dots?

No...I don't think .500 without him ( a WHOLE 8 games over with him.......way.)

Take Z off the team as easily as you do Lee....and you don't have a .500 team either.

You know...the guy I have seen a hundred times take someone down low and fake left-right-left and hit a fade away or move in for a dunk or scoop?

Ya!!..that's the guy---the one who can't create his own shot.

By the way...he's creating at a rate of 19% in the first two games.

Surely if we play the same offensive philosophy....we can"still win this thing."

I don't know about you,SportyFans, but this is not how to play Connect The Dots.

The Celts Defense was supposed to be their
weakspot before the season started Bozo.
After the season started it was apparent
people were very wrong.

can and WILL are spelled differently and mean
two diff. things. Since very few teams come back
from 2-0 you will give me 100 dollars if the Cavs
win the series?

And will you stop it with the George Bush CIA "connect
the dots". Make up your own game. Connect the neurons
or something...

Your are a severe disappointment in this entire thread.
Your parents should throw you out of the house immediately.

.500 gets you into the playoffs ya numb skull.

What the hell conference do you think the Cavs play in?

Mortimer 05-10-2008 06:54 PM

Oh...the Celts defense IS better...the offense IS much better....and the Celts out number us in shot creators AT LEAST 4 TO 1...but "the Cavs can still win this. "

Can you explain?

You keep failing to explain any of your eye popping statements.

I know I'm not following this at all...with no change in the offensive strategy...the Cavs have no chance to win this....with or without MR. EIGHT GAMES OVER .500.

Oh...the league where no Z on this team means sub .500,too.

And how does this great knowledge as you have provided help in WINNING in the playoffs.

And how come the GREATEST 19% SHOT CREATOR in the ENTIRE WORLD has led his witnesses to 0-2??

Get off the 19% will ya ya little creep.
Is that a rosetta stone number?
Two flippn games and all you see is 19?

You already showed your ignorance by not
even knowing the conf.

I cant tell you how the Cavs are going to win
except play D. I CAN TELL YOU THE ANSWER
IS NOT TO SIT LEBRON DOWN ys little twerp.

What would you do?

Can yes. Will, I doubt it.
So will you give me 100 dollars
if the CAVS do win, since you imply they cannot?

pgardn 05-10-2008 07:57 PM

And if you think the CAVS are a .500 with I and
without Lebron you...

are the same guy that had
no idea that .500 gets the CAVS
into the playoffs in the EAST.

Mortimer 05-10-2008 08:13 PM

( Uh..does anyone know what the Garden that does not grow is screaming about?)

Anyhooo.....I did notice something in there...and that is I said the Cavs cannot win this unless they change their offensive strategy.

You said the Celts were better on both sides of the ball and had us AT LEAST4:1 in shot creativity points.

And then that logic line led you to say ..."the Cavs can still win this"....but you had no idea how....apparently.

I mean...it don't git no dumber 'an you.

pgardn 05-10-2008 08:19 PM

Change their offensive strategy to what?

And stop with the rewording.
I said the Celtics have at least 4 creators
on offense but the CAVS have the best.

Will you give me 100 dollars?
I ask again. I will send it to a charity of
my choice.

pgardn 05-10-2008 09:29 PM

Cassell on West.
NOt a good matchup at all for Boston.
West is too quick. This was evident in
other games.

Rivers just does not trust Rondo.
But Rondo's defense is so much better.
The Cavs can run an offense through
a point guard with this matchup.

Very good D by Cleveland.
Points scored by Celts after it
mattered.

Lebron did a good job spreading
the ball around. And he actually placed
himself in good spots to get other people
open. He spaced himself very well
without the ball
This is encouraging.
Joe smith could not miss.
Z was on fire and showed
his dazzling speed on a pick and
roll with Lebron.

And Daniel Gibson showed again
why he is not a point guard.

Your PG had the mudman Sam Cassell on him.
Better hope Doc keeps that going.

The D was the key.

He played excellent d.
And he moved the ball around well.
Ran a pick and roll.

This is called patience.
THis is not an offensive scheme.
Reread my discussions with Horse of Course
about Lebron and spacing and driving head down.

Mortimer 05-10-2008 10:19 PM

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS..He was HOT!!

Lets not forget when they took him out they
went from 25 up to 18 up at somewhere around
the speed of light. Could not even get the ball
down the floor.

do you realize how nice it is to have a guy
in the game that you can inbound the ball
to that just goes up and gets it in a crunch? how much
trouble this immediately gets a team out of?
Lotta little things he can learn, and a lotta
little things he does very well that go unmentioned.
