He claims that he doesnt owe the restitution because he didnt commit the crimes. Why would anyone pay if they claim they were innocent? Wouldnt that be dumb?

As for the book deal, it is FICTIONAL. It was always supposed to be.

And who is defending anyone? More than anything, I am defending the constitution.

how are you defending the constitution? what does the constitution have to do with you or I coming to the obvious conclusion that this scum killed those two people? it makes me sick the lengths people go to in order to coddle and enable violent lawbreakers. there is a reason you think he probably did it, because its plainly obvious that he did. what got him off in the first place was this kind of fuzzy thinking and the weakminded jurors they scrounged up.

Or possibly the shoddy police work and the incompetent prosecution?

Our constitution provides for a fair trial and i respect the outcomes of said trials. Some of you obviously don't.

He can also claim it's fictional. But what kind of a person goes on trial for the murder of 2 people, somehow is found innocent, and then decides it would be a good idea to co write a book about how he "would" have done it. Has he no shame? Again, I find it repulsive to defend this man. He murdered the mother of his children. And as you say, co wrote a "fictional" book about how he did it. And I thought I had a sh itty father....

Ordered to pay with what?

i wonder if he doesn't pay, can he be found guilty of contempt? can they put you in jail for that for a civil trial case? seems like they should be able to.

and he wasn't found innocent, he was found not guilty--there is a difference...how he was found not guilty is beyond me--i guess the same way blake was found not guilty, and the same way the spector case has been 'hung'--hero worship gone wild.
as for the one having nothing to do with the other--that isn't necessarily so, as twice now oj has resorted to violence as a means to an end. altho not found guilty in the criminal proceedings, he was found responsible in the civil matter--he isn't pure as the driven snow here. when part of a jury, you are told to consider all the evidence, as well as your common sense. common sense tells me oj is
an idiot
violent
repeatedly takes actions that indicates he feels he is above the law

in a mansion?!

besides, he didn't care if those other two people lived. they felt they 'had to live', she had two kids to raise. poor oj, reduced to penury--he probably had to scale down from a super mansion to a regular mansion.

You're right, I don't.

And I don't think it was a fair trial.

The law is the law as you say but that doesn't make it right.

The whole thing was wrong on so many levels but who knows... maybe the jury found him "charming" like you did.

Disgusting.

if you can say you respect the outcome of that trial with a straight face its pretty sad. it was a travesty of the highest order. the color of his skin and his wealth got him off of the murder rap. someone like me in the same circumstances would be rotting away in the pen at this point.

Its interesting that you discuss injustice in regards to our justice system and use a black man as an example of someone exploiting and benefitting from the system.

How many blacks have been tried and WRONGLY persecuted because of the color of their skin?

brianwspencer 09-26-2007 05:54 PM

Oh my god, I'm late to the party, but some of this is so phucking delusional I can't even make odds and ends of it.

This whole he-was-found-innocent(sic)-even-though-he-probably-did-chop-the-mother-of-his-children-up-but-c'mon-he's-a-totally-stand-up-guy-omgz-he-was-so-nice-to-me-omgz-picturezzzzz $hit is unreal.

Wow. I never thought I'd see the day that someone went so out of their way to defend/fawn over/totally crush on a savage double murderer.

As Dahoss said, it was obviously a joke. Joke's on you. Lets move on;)

Mortimer 09-26-2007 06:06 PM

Oh fucl<.

I'm pretty doggone upset I have to come back because of all this.

Now you listen me Dala.

I forgot what I was going to say.

Oh ya.

Black people have been stiffed and railroaded for too long as well as other minorities and the poor. Too many have suffered. ..and it is shameful. If the Black people got Simpson off because of retribution to all the wrongs...I couldn't blame them for it.It would take a super person to ignore what has and still does happen. ...but the thing is there were several dynamics at work in this trial. Simpson got off. If you as a rational person can't see where everything flowed ( not being cute with that) from his ridiculous assertion in that he had no idea how he got the bad cut earlier that day then you are not being honest with yourself. The idiot judge, the national tv, the incredibly incompetent prosecution team ( most of them)...and the LA police all played a strong contributing role in his getting off.If I was a juror and had to sit through that farce for 9 months or so of being sequestered I may have just thrown up my hands and said .....fucl< it. Not guilty just to end it.

But if you have any comprehension in your mind about the trial proceedings and still have a reasonable doubt as to his guilt in this criminal trial ...no one can help your very poor perception.

I think maybe this latest thing was a set up. If there is a trial then it should proceed as the law allows. I don't know if he's guilty here. People can form opinions. So can you.

I read this for too long and couldn't stand it anymore.Simpson's problem is he can't be happy he got away with the 2 murders.

Anyone who likes him shouldn't make his mistake....be happy...don't worry.

Now Stevie or Thebby....dart me off this board now....please.

Mortimer 09-26-2007 06:08 PM

Phooey.

Mortimer 09-26-2007 06:12 PM

Oh shut yer yap.

Everyone knws I'm a fool...so what's the big deal?

I wouldn't want a fool to fool around with.

Uccch..what's the use.

Save yourself...what can I tell you.

Mortimer 09-26-2007 06:20 PM

So I don't look like a child molester....what Hossy meant is I left another board...again.I think it's 78 or 9 times now.

I mean...what's the big deal?

They're better off and I don't want to be on any board memberships anymore.

A crazy person has had it with all you crazy people!

ror!

What's so wrong with that?

Mortimer 09-26-2007 06:24 PM

I was hoping another crazy person would answer.

Mortimer 09-26-2007 06:24 PM

Oh.

They did.

My phooey again.

Mortimer 09-26-2007 06:26 PM

Suffy...this would be a good time for you to post up your latest vacay photos.

Mortimer 09-26-2007 06:28 PM

Well if Steve and Thebby have a heart....when I check back I will be unable to do so.

If I am....

......then serious things must be done.

Namely...I'll type more.

yeah, cause goodness knows no one stays in jail serving a sentence because they're 'innocent'. go to any jail in this country, i guarantee you'll find more innocent men then guilty ones--no doubt they were all set up.
it's called the appeals process btw. oj could certainly afford to appeal that ruling, couldn't he?

explain to me how, on the one hand, you say that you respect the constitution and our legal system, and then on the other hand, defend someone for thumbing their nose at the same when they have been found guilty in a court? a dichotomy for sure.

Mortimer 09-26-2007 07:06 PM

SHI T!

And shut up Dannie! The scam's over.

But I'm still here.

Hey...do ya like Baseball?

Hey...do ya like Baseball?

not really, no. i don't mind watching the highlights on sportscenter, but no way i'd sit thru a game.

Mortimer 09-26-2007 07:12 PM

Ya ...I know what you mean.

It can be very interesting....but also a drag...I only like it when the Indians win.

What about football?

I use to like it a lot...but money has slowly ruined it for me. Money ruins sports.

Do you believe Robert Johnson really sold his soul?

Mortimer 09-26-2007 07:23 PM

I think it worked.
