I could think of a few, Cajun... ;)

GenuineRisk 06-29-2006 01:42 PM

As seldom as I post, I'd probably be Penn National if it was on here... what am I, foal?

GenuineRisk 06-29-2006 01:43 PM

Pimlico? Wha? I guess I post here more than I thought. Don't tell my job...

slotdirt 06-29-2006 01:50 PM

I still think Sam Houston is a step up from Suffolk Downs.

2 Dollar Bill 06-29-2006 02:50 PM

Dont worry about the track names, After all if you DONT Post.. you could be Garden State Race Track... Opppps I mean Home Repo !!

slotdirt 06-29-2006 03:03 PM

Actually, Garden State is a pretty nice little area now. I went to a prom at Garden STate Race track.

Scav 06-29-2006 03:04 PM

Prom at a Racetrack,I went to the wrong high school

slotdirt 06-29-2006 03:10 PM

I actually think they were running at the same time. Matter of fact, I went to two separate proms at Garden State, 1993 and 1995. That was a nice old place, wish I had been more into racing when it was still running.

Scav 06-29-2006 03:20 PM

There would have been about a 4 to 1 ratio (girl to guy) on the dance floor if mine was held at the track. I would have never seen the dance floor, and probably would have never seen my date

2MinsToPost 06-29-2006 04:21 PM

what track am I ?

2MinsToPost 06-29-2006 04:22 PM

Gotta be Big Bad Beutiful Beulah

You're Suffolk Downs.
Oh well, I wanted Saratoga but would've settled for Finger Lakes. LA Downs, never been there.

No one will become a "Saratoga" for quite a while... But it is indeed the pinnacle... There will be some fun surprise tracks in there yet too!

Been trying to fix the Avatar situation and am struggling... I'll get it though.

It does seem indeed that I can't let people do their own User Title, but I find that hard to believe..

The Admin on this thing is beyond belief... Thousands of functions.. Maybe tens of thousands...

Gander 06-29-2006 05:58 PM

Thanks for the upgrade from Hawthorne to Aqueduct...
I am secretly dreaming of the 2006-2007 Inner Track meet while everyone else is having fun at Saratoga!

paisjpq 06-29-2006 06:04 PM

Sucess! MAYBE. K--someone look at me on the members list and tell me if my profile photo did indeed get uploaded--It's my best girl Paisley...

Danzig 06-29-2006 07:28 PM

boldruler 06-29-2006 07:39 PM

Let me guess, Saratoga will be the track at 5000 posts. I vote for Churchill as the final track.

5000 posts? Man, I better get to steppin, Churchill is my home track. I guess that is the pinnacle of N. American tracks. I cannot wait for Breeders Cup! This weekend is going to be the bomb! Fri, Sat, SUn, Mon, Tues, racing baby, 4 day weekend from work, beer, tequilla, oh wow, I hope I remember this.

slotdirt 06-30-2006 09:33 AM

Still struggling in my mind trying to figure how Suffolk outranks Pimlico....hello, it'd old f-ing Hilltop!

Hickory Hill Hoff 07-02-2006 08:49 PM

Steve, I like to be Green Mountain Raceway, my gram hit a 5,000 triple up there in the mid 60's when they were running flat races long before it went to the dogs and now worst.

Kasept 07-02-2006 09:23 PM

Hoff..

Green Mountain is in there somewhere!

Am surprised there have been so few remarks about the new additions.. Trying to promote responses like yours with the appearence of some long forgotten facilities..

I'll have to tell my Ak-Sar-Ben story at some point in fact... Was there in 1985.

Honest opinion on the new additions? Not a fan....To me, Derby Trail, while we use it for every day stuff, is about the Derby Trail......This site is going to be HOPPING for next years Triple Crown and the races before hand, probably right when Gulfstream and Santa Anita get started. I liked the title lines alot becuase it described a time line of the Derby Trail....Alot of people, especially new people, are going to have NO clue about some of those tracks you are putting up.....my opinion

NoCarolinaTony 07-02-2006 11:27 PM

What about old Liberty Bell Park....was my favorite at one time !!! Keystone etc....I'd be proud to wear the monicor...

Honu 07-02-2006 11:36 PM

Honu, from what Steve said, I'm assuming the upgrades are as automatic as they were with "weanling" to "yearling", etc. You'll probably get an automatic new "home track" when you hit 50 posts, or maybe 100 posts.

Steve

Loving the Sunshine Park I saw under someone's name. Don't forget the first track I ever attended, the beautiful Detroit Race Course.

heh heh, Neccos are my snack of choice when traveling. Good bang for the buck, calorie-wise. I usually compare the packs looking for the heaviest licorice and chocolate fractions.

DB..

You know that Necco offers an all-chocolate roll??? Hmmm...

Those that are unaware, "NECCO", ("New England Confectionary CO), is a tiny candy outfit that makes some great goofball items that those of us on the East Coast grew up with..

Besides the Necco Wafers, popularized during WWII in C-rations because they don't melt, Necco makes the incomparable "SKYBAR".. a ridiculous chocolate bar that has four pockets of fillings: Vanilla creme, Peanut creme; Fudge and Caramel...

They also own Havilland candies that make a WINTERGREEN MINT PATTY!!! They have Peppermint Patties, but these are WINTERGREEN!!
