Yeah, I never threatened that... I didn't have much of a choice at the time. I was prego with Daniel and wasn't going to be able to work for at least a few months. 3 (my horse) wouldn't have been cared for and my ex's exact words were:

"I'll be God-DAMNED before I pay for that mule or go out there and even look at it."

Loading him up on that trailer took my breath away (in a bad way), but I found a good home for him at least and can be rest assured that he's taken care of now. Sometimes life sucks...

I guess Phil having a little "jungle fever" and getting some on the side makes him a bad boy too:eek:

WOW, Kevin...

See, there is no defined term for a "bad boy." It's probably different for most women...

Scuds, you're correct on most of your points. I definitely need an interesting guy... I hate to be bored. Horseplayers are hardly boring characters, though, so you guys provide me with massive amounts of entertainment without even realizing it.

I'm speechless here.

You're talking about "bad boys" and "risk takers" being one in the same, on a GOLF COURSE, of all places. Yes, they might miss a shot and blow the lead, but real risk takers...pass. Not a chance, not on a golf course.

Yes(if he indeed did that,)but the question is what is attractive (to women) about a bad boy.See,a typical married nice guy type would not even consider having that kind of sex. They don't want it.Bad boys are flawed. They want it,and constantly have an internal fight to avoid doing it.Women know that bad boys want sex with other women. They know they have to work to keep him sexually satisfied. He may be bad,but he is not dull,or uninteresting. The "nice guy" type has no problem having the same sex partner all the time.He doesn't have this interesting little internal war inside himself.Women don't seek out bad boys, but they are usually simply more attracted to them. They are often bored by the nice-guy type.Hillary is still with Bill, and that's because she(and most women) find him charismatic, dangerous, interesting etc.(a bad boy.)

Hmmm... I don't agree, Scuds. MOST men (even nice guys) have the internal war inside to stay faithful. And I can tell you this (excuse me for being forward), I have NO PROBLEM in the sack being creative, going at it multiple times, "working" to keep a guy sexually satisfied (is that really work?) Come on guys!

Furthermore, I've met a couple of nice-guy types who may look the part, but behind closed doors, watch out! :D

I used to drive drunk all the time...does that count for being a bad boy? Or just really stupid:o

Payson Dave 03-06-2007 03:26 PM

Drowned a few brain cells in beer over the years...
Had a couple Triumph bikes along the way...
Ran a 33' Express Cruiser from Florida to NY via the ICW / Atlantic Ocean...
Burnt holes in the sky from the left seat in a couple of small planes...
Chased pretty wimmen...and even lived with a few...
Been bettin horses for better than 35 years...

Ain't none of it makes ya a "bad boy"...just a fun luvin interesting kinda guy...

Keeping employed and acquiring a couple of waterfront houses along the way helps with keepin the good times going.

It was stupid bad-boy activity. You seem to enjoy risk taking, and competition.Don't you think most caddies are bad boys? You're a particular type of bad boy though. You don't have bad boy sexual attitudes. Also, unlike yourself, most men,and especially bad boys, don't like to gabb on the phone and email etc. as much as you do.I am not saying it is in any way wrong.I should introduce ya to my mom,and you 2 could talk (and talk) on the phone.

no thanks...God knows I have a hard enough time getting off the phone when I am talking to my own Mom or sister.

I do enjoy risk taking a great deal and competition even more so.

Caddies, bad boys?? um yeah...I could tell stories until the cows come home.

When i was with the bike clubs you would walk into a pub & within half a hour you would have at least 3 to 5 women around you not for you but because of Bad boy syndrome, Sounds great but after a few years you really get sick of it plus you can never have a seriuos relationship cause way to much temptation , you party from dusk to dawn 4 days a week & in the end it really screws with ya health & Head:cool: .
Give me Borin old horses & a Boring old lifestyle anyday:D

Damn, how in the world did I miss this thread?!?!?!? I just read it all and let me tell you there is some funny stuff. Man if this entire group ever got together it would be a riot.....But Kev, I gotta ask you.....and let me preface this by saying you know that I'm a phone call away. If you ever need anything I'm there....so next time you're getting jacked by a golf bag, don't do anything that could ruin your bad boy image, give Sam a call and I will come to Roanoke and put it back on the display for you....:D

GenuineRisk 03-06-2007 09:39 PM

Kev, you weren't kidding; this is a great thread (it was great chatting tonight, by the way, as always! The future love of your life will be lucky to get such a great conversationalist. :) )

I think the Bad Boy thing is something young women go through- maybe it's that there's something so very attractive in someone who doesn't seem to care whether he has you or not (so if you can just get him to fall in love with you, you've really accomplished something!), maybe it's the dark, sad secret you just know he's hiding (because you want to be Florence Nightengale, oh yes you do), maybe it's the "He'd be so great if just this one thing was fixed" (because you've confused a boyfriend with a fixer-upper apartment). And all that unattainability makes your heart pound (I read somewhere that infatuation is the intense desire to spend all your time around someone you know nothing about, and I think that's as good a description as I've ever read).

BUT- I think sometimes (many times) what we're attracted to on a gut, irrational level is perhaps not what is good for us, because, especially for women, on some level, we're trying to fix something else from our lives through our relationship. Lord knows I was going against some bad habits when I started dating my husband.

Kev, Randall, you guys are undervalued stocks. As the girls around you get a little older, and a little more tired of breaking their own hearts, you'll get grabbed up by someone who knows a good thing when she sees one and her friends will spend the rest of their lives saying, "Why can't I find someone like him?" Well, you could have, sweetie. But you were too busy breaking your heart over Mr. Dark and Brooding. Tough.

As for why men want bimbos, I think some guys just don't really want a partnership; they want eye candy. Hey, if that makes them happy, fine. If they're rich, they'll be able to get their eye candy forever, and as long as they don't delude themselves into thinking their eye candy is with them for anything other than their wallets, they'll be perfectly happy (I'm always amused by rich old guys who are shocked, shocked, when their young wives cheat on them. Come on; you got her taut skin and she got a Mercedes. Don't think she's with you for your personality. You're not with her for hers).

Me, I figure we're all eventually going to end up old and wrinkly and I want to still like talking to the person I'm old and wrinkly with, since conversation may be all we'll have left! :)

"He's got his arm around every man's dream
And crumbs in his beard from the seafood special
Oh can't you see my world is falling apart?
Baby, please, leave the biker, leave the biker, break his heart."

Actually,he will do just fine with that particular song. His voice, and the melody of the verse are both excellent. The lyrics are not gunna kill that song.If you have a good enough melody(and this does) then the song will be successful. If it had a better chorus, and lyrics, then it could crossover. The reason I put it on here,is because it is a beautiful melody, and a very pure voice.Obviously,he is a badboy. They wanted to know why that women like badboys.......Well,I am pretty sure that with his voice,he can seduce almost any of them.

Cajungirl, the link I am gunna post will let you hear enough of the song, but the video is actually an important part (cute couple........again this is a conflicting thing...a pretty videoto go with badboy lyrics.) The song is called "DEEPER".................LOL.

jman5581 03-20-2007 12:23 PM

I agree with you about the voice, but I think the message you're trying to get across is better explained by Track 12!!! Guy's got a one-track mind!!! You gotta love it. I don't see much mystique to him, but I like some of the beats and melodies. Thanks for sharin'.
