RAWSKILLZ 02-28-2007 12:45 AM

Have to buy your own.

Anyways,I will go with NAUGHTY RALPHY ELLA. I am no big fan of hers, but while she has been in position to run off the board at Anita, she has flown late to avoid doing so.Also, she has run with these rails out.She has that little late punch that can get her 3rd(even if she has trouble etc.)

smuthg 02-28-2007 03:30 PM

Well, still alive... Naughty Rafaela in the first. live to play another day...

Looks like we lost another 8% with Eagle Ridge finishing out of the money in the 2nd...

my miss storm cat 02-28-2007 06:42 PM

I'm out..... best of luck to you all who are still in! :)

scrimshaw 02-28-2007 07:15 PM

Round 4

Charm N Broad tomorrow. At least I hope...

Hey, what do you guys think about the works on that Isipingo in the 6th? Could get a price...

IrinaSH 02-28-2007 07:21 PM

Still Dancing for Day 4

Dancing General gets home second in Race 1. On to tomorrow... gotta go check out card. Good luck fellow Showvivors!

scrimshaw 03-01-2007 03:27 PM

the contest favorite goes down first thing... wowzers!

smuthg 03-01-2007 03:28 PM

LOL....Court (for whatever reason.....LOL......I have no idea why he did this) fried your horse, and then turns right around and gives Phar To Win a perfect ride..I will never understand the JEKYL N HYDE thing.I would understand it much better if they were trying to get a horse fried(beat.)This guy is a holy roller.Don't think he is dirty, but it is amazing that somebody who is innocent can look like they are intentionally frying a horse.Honestly, you had no shot.He fried that filly up the whole way.

smuthg 03-01-2007 04:31 PM

At work and figured the bells and whistles would be heard around the world if I pulled up xpressbet to watch the race... had Phar to Win highlighted last night and talked myself out of that pick over lunch... story of my life.

Well, they are the "deciders." I mean, Flores could have gone up and kept "Phar " from getting a 1:13,but he chose to just sit there.I figured Court would give that horse a perfect ride. After blowing that ride on your horse,he needed to put a real good ride in on the next chalk he had.

IrinaSH 03-01-2007 09:23 PM

Well, time to look for tomorrow's choice -- I have survived Day Four! New all-time high for your's truly... woo hoo!

On Saturday will anyone choose horse other than Lava Man? Seriously, Santa Anita outta just make Saturday freebie and move on to Sunday's card.

scrimshaw 03-01-2007 09:44 PM

Iron Butterfly or Indy's Windy?

RAWSKILLZ 03-01-2007 09:51 PM

I am out. I had Big Jon, and he ran like crap. I talked myself off of the Mandella horse and thats what I get. For me to get out by not taking a Mandella horse.....serves me right.

scrimshaw 03-02-2007 09:39 AM

Indy's Windy always hangs, but she's never been out of the tri. But, who cares, I think the Butterfly of Iron will catch everyone today. :)

scrimshaw 03-02-2007 03:13 PM

That'll do me just fine...

Contest Tally: 3 W's (5.60, 6.20, 8.20 win), 1 P (2.60 place), 1 S (3.20 show)

scrimshaw 03-02-2007 09:08 PM

To Lava Man or not to Lava Man

I know at least half the contestants will be on Lava Man tomorrow, so I'm going to hope for the worst there and stick with the small field strategy in the 2nd race and go with Racketeer. He's been in the tri consistently the past few and should get a healthy pace to run at, rather take my chances there...

frpovideo 03-04-2007 12:48 AM

Site problems?

Dang, I'm trying to make my pick for Sunday and the site won't let me. I log in, click on the horse I want, and it takes me back to the log-in page. Anyone else having problems?

jman5581 03-06-2007 10:46 PM

Light Fingers in the first tomorrow

jman5581 03-07-2007 08:08 PM

who all is still in? any ideas for tomorrow? Dr. Sinatra or Power Shift? Sticking with the short field strategy.

dylbert 03-07-2007 10:03 PM

Dr. Sinatra

Upon further review, I went with your play, Power Shift, and WON! Saracina is my choice tomorrow. Go-Go-Gomez for me... Good luck!

Well, great, glad it worked out! :)

For today, in the 1st, either Scoonerwharfbardog or Roosevelt.

SCUDS, opinion on the first??

jman5581 03-09-2007 09:40 AM

I think today will see many more eliminated than yesterday...we need to pick wisely!

jman5581 03-09-2007 12:50 PM

I've settled on Scoonerwharfdogbreath. Hope he wins.

SCUDSBROTHER 03-09-2007 01:14 PM

Well, pretty bad luck that Nakatani and Blue Cay couldn't get room to run last time.Had to pss off anybody involved with that horse.Had plenty of run.Expect him to run minimum top 3.That or Vice Admiral.Don't listen to me though.I got knocked out when Court saw fit to char that Craig Lewis filly on the lead last week. You couldn't have got her beat more easily than by doing exactly what he did.I still can't believe he did that.If he wasn't such a holy roller,I would be 100% sure he wanted to get her beat.I can see exactly zero reason for chewing her up 3 across backstretch through turn.Plays the part of a ****** pretty well.People get tired of people complaining about jocks, but when somebody rides that poorly.....Makes a decision that retarded..........I really think they deserve to hear about it.If a dog psses on something you own,you are not gunna just ignore it.You try to stop them from doing it again.

jman5581 03-09-2007 01:45 PM

Ok, Scuds, I agree with you on BC and VA, but so will 50% of the field...

In the first race...
The 1, Scooner, looks legit to me. Stretching out to a route which he has done before against much better company. Sharp :46 work, horse looks ready to race. Mullins almost 30% in claimings, 29% turf to dirt. This one's only win came on dirt. Good late kick. I think I gotta pick him and stay out of the way of the crowd in this round. Any one in the 1st you'd take over Scooner? I don't have any replays to look at right now.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I would be very wary of this one going 2-turns, because his SW full brother was a really good sprinter (Md MIllions Sprint, 2nd Fall Highweight, San Vicente S) who couldn't last 8f. Not a guarantee he won't stay, but a warning bell that mum's Northern Baby heritage isn't as useful here as one might expect.

SCUDSBROTHER 03-09-2007 02:31 PM

No,I would not use anybody in that 1st race.Your gunna play a Two Punch going 2 turns? O.K.,I will hope you survive,Good luck to ya.

After all, you are Pedigree Ann! I've gone with Conclave, hope Court doesn't blow him up like he did Scuds' pick.

SCUDSBROTHER 03-09-2007 02:40 PM

Steve Knapp???You better pray.....You go pray..........Now.

jman5581 03-09-2007 02:43 PM

hahahahahahahaha.....Scuds, I guess you want me to go with the Carava connection...alright, I said in the beginning it was either going to be the 1 or the 6, so 6 it is. Thanks guys.

jman5581 03-09-2007 02:45 PM

The 1 will now win.

jman5581 03-09-2007 02:50 PM

when I looked at it, I thought 1 or 6...so this is all on me brother.

SCUDSBROTHER 03-09-2007 03:03 PM
