There is more to the DRF that past performances. There are articles, op-ed columns, stats on tracks, up-coming races etc etc. I dont think you buy the DRF for the "expert handicapping" you buy the DRF for the articles and past performances.

Well,if you can feel comfortable with playing 4 or 5 different tracks a day, then I guess buying a whole drf would be the way to go.Most cappers(including myself)play one or two tracks a day.I only play four or five if I go to Vegas. As people are walking out of the track, why don't they have the option to just pay a buck to get the past performances of the track they want to play the following day?If these guys are so into helping the handicapper, lets see if that improvement is ever encouraged by these parasites.Don't count on it.

And what would you sell the past performances for? Let me ask you this question would you buy the past performances only for $6 or the entire DRF for $4 or $5?

The thing is that I want to be able to pay for the past performances without paying for these parasites' writings, picks, and opinions.I don't care to pay for their trip to Saratoga etc. Those addicted to paying them should have that option, but not everybody should be made to help pay these parasites their checks.

Scuds there is a lot of info in there in articles and workouts, etc that is well worth the cost of the DRF. In addition the cost of the damn ink cartridges outweighs any "savings" you get from not buying it.

That is more expensive than the form in which you get articles in addition to 6-8 cards.

Also in your thinking why isn't the guy that is collecting the dollars from you for the cards you download a parasite? What makes him more legit than the DRF?

Awww you want consumer options--boy wouldnt that be nice. I would love to have the option of paying less for smaller portion of foods. I would love the option of paying for the Sports Page only and not have to pay for the Arts and Leisure Section. I bet my customers would love to have the option of only paying for the oil instead of the oil disposal fee. Think of it this way Scuds, it is probably cheaper to produce and to sell the entire DRF instead of breaking it up in sections.

This is amazing reading. I might even pay for it.

So basically you don't want to pay to read any industry news, breaking news, hear where certain horses are pointing, changes to stakes schedules, international news... let alone columns on handicapping or breeding?
I guess that's your perogative, but tell me... what does that imply to the reader here about your thoughts on the New York Times, Washington Post, even USA Today?
The Daily Racing Form is a place to get pps, but it's also an industry newspaper. If you don't want that, download the cards. You obviously have a computer.
But then again, I'm addicted to paying Crist's way.
