It has to be hard for JuLep to be motivated going back to Turfway Park. If you consider the better venues where he could be riding, to go back to Turfway and ride mostly bottom level horses on that track in the cold has to be a setback. I know he's tied to Biancone -- but being the top jock at CD, KEE, not to mention his success at SAR, hardly lends well to recidivism at Turfway Park.

The guy has to be wishing he was at Gulfstream every day. Sunshine . . . palm trees . . . ocean breezes . . . hell yeah.

He wouldn't do well at GP, too competitive. I think Julian is just having a sophmore slump, but he is still one of the best jockeys out there. I put him just a notch above Bejarano. It's a shame that J. Bridgmohan had that spill, he could have made for an interesting meet at GP.

Julian w/o Biancone = Kobe w/o shaq

Well it's in his genes to surrender when there's no chance of victory.

Like what has already been said on this thread, the thing I have against Lep is I can never catch him. I bet him and he is nowhere to be found, and when I leave him out I see his ass in the winners circle. Don't get me wrong, I was big on him last year like everyone else was, but I think he is just a little dissapointing right now.

You think he's doing drugs?

The Indomitable DrugS 02-06-2007 01:43 PM

He's a pretty passive jockey.....and the kind of rider you don't always want on a horse who needs an aggressive ride.

When he had his bug, and I was watching a lot of his races, I was impressed with the way he rode mid-pack types in elongated sprint races.
