Its not betting against Invasor it finding out the 2,3,4th place horses

No one who has any knowledge is gonna put WIN bets on him at 3/5 however a ton of people will have him as top or 2nd in tris and supers

So remember

i'm all for finding a good horse at a price....but there are times (like this) when the entire field is so overmatched that it doesn't even make sense to look for value. there isn't any.

oh come on he will be like 1/9 or worse. We are talking about the HOY last year who is only four techically.

yeah, the trick is hitting the ex and tri--but if invasor wins, they won't pay much either.

Obviously I think that Invasor is the clear winner here, but there's a chance he may not like the track, etc and if that is the case, there could be some money to be made.

i guess this is where we differ. i would never bet one horse to win, if i thought a different horse in that race was "obviously the clear winner."

Wont Pay much??? It wont pay 100 or more per buck but you should make a nice profit


Strong Contender will be 2nd choice and no way he even hits the board. Most likely will be looking at 2 15-1 or higher and a 5-1 in Magna Graduate to round out the super

if you want to go that way with the race....i would load up on the place part of the bet and keep the win part in the $2 range.

I can't make it down, unfortunately... I have my son this weekend. Last weekend was his Dad's weekend to have him, so it worked out.
I am sure your son would enjoy the races! He has to learn how to read the racing form someday :)

Very true... but the idea of almost 4 hours in the car with a 3 year old doesn't appeal to me. :eek:

I'm fully aware of the Invasor prep for Dubai angle, but we're talking about a horse who is 9/10 lifetime, and should be able to jog home beating this weak field.
Chatain looks nice, but with 4 lifetime starts, I really doubt he'll be able to shake free of Invasor.
And it is a terrible betting race, but who is going to complain about a single in the pick 4, or the Magna 5?

Not me.

these other horses don't stand much of a chance in my opinion.
I have to agree with you about this. In his last three races his WORST Beyer# is a 111. No other horse in the race has ever run a figure that high. He is as solid a single here as you will find.
