Yeah, it must suck being ridden by one the greatest riders ever.

Hey BTW: DrugS has a post thats 95% accurate and you say he is "basically all wrong". Sniper makes a good post and you say he is "incorrect". Amongst it all you slam one of the all time great riders!

You're acting like are a monday morning quarterback who missed Sundays game. BBB

First of all, DrugS is a personal friend of mine, and I was joking with him. I also happen to disagree with him, but that's because unlike you I follow Aqueduct, so I speak from strength, while you are just trolling.

I also disagree with Sniper, but was engaging him in conversation, whereas once again you are just trolling and offering nothing to the discussion.

Furthermore, in your trolling, you twisted my comments concerning Pat Day. If you actually saw some of his rides, the Louisianna Derby in particular, aboard Dollar Bill and think they were good I would be more than willing to discuss it with you.

I happened to peruse another message board last night where I had a most enjoyable time reading many condescending posts from you. One thing you did post that I found myself agreeing with wholeheartedly was your ringing endorsement of Steve Crist's latest book, " Exotic Wagering ". You might want to take a look at the short list of acknowledgements, as there's at least, according to you, one " monday morning quarterback " on it.

Keep on trollin'.

Blackthroat,
Thanks for the update.
I've long been a fan of Corinthian, and Jim J as well.
If anyone can bring him back better, Jim J can and will.
Heck, this was his derby horse, right?
I'm still a believer. Jim J will have a good year.
And again, thanks for the info.

Wait--I gave the update on Corinthian, BTW just decided to give his opinion of the horse. I like J Jerkens. I like Corinthian and I think we will see him do some good things in the year 2007.

Cajun, you are going to have to clue me in a little on what the Lessons Learned from the Chickens thread is? I don't know what you are saying.

You'd have to ask DTS....I'm not very sure that anyone else really knows what any of it means :D

I know I am slow at times--like you said--you hope I never get lost in the woods. But I am glad I am not alone on this one.

I think so. I posted a thread and I stated I couldnt find a thread already on the subject. It turns out that the thread was a couple of threads down on the page. I think it was you. It was funny, so go ahead and take the credit. If it wasn't you, then I am sorry.

Euro,
Winter on the farm is pretty quiet lately. Good news is that Ciel Bonne and Daring Day are named and registered. Shot o' Bourbon and Darlin' by Day will be moving out soon.
As far as "lessons learned from chickens" goes...well, it's in the "politics" room.
Though some might not agree with what I have to say, it gives me a place to share some thoughts..or insanity. It's all about how you look at some things.

I don't. You seem to feel regardless of what he does you are correct...you are not.

By the way.....any other Jimmy Jerkens horses you have unrealistic expectations about that I need to be aware of?;)

Well it's tough when gelding the horse isn't a decision I can make. If that happened I think he'd be a very good horse. As it is I think the chance of him not amounting to much is a lot more likely than becoming a very good horse. Doesn't mean I'm not going to hope that he does magically get his act together and become a top horse or discount the possibility that it could happen. I don't really see why they'd bring him back this year if they didn't think it could happen.

It's funny that I like two different Jimmy Jerkens horses. I couldn't pick the guy out of a lineup and don't know anything about him yet Corinthian and Sir Greeley are two of my favorite horses out there.

Oh, and I'm thinking the chances of Sir Greeley winning a G1 this year aren't looking too bad right now. I think the Carter and Met Mile are both ripe for the picking. Latent Heat is the frontrunner for the Carter at least and he's never struck me as that great of a horse. Latent Heat and Sun King will probably be the frontrunners for the Met Mile unless Discreet Cat shows up and neither of them are unbeatable either. Unfortunately with his recent record he's more likely to run 2nd in both than win either.

Yeah...has some ability. But until he shows he wasnt a one race wonder I will continue to ridicule him......saying he will be a threat to the handicap division is rather comical.

blackthroatedwind 01-19-2007 12:39 PM

Nothing wrong with rooting for Corinthian but I just never saw all this ability that everyone else did. I believe last year's FOY was a VERY bad race. To me Corinthian looks like yet another horse that will probably never race again and if he does it will not be very well. But I've been wrong before.

As for Sir Greeley....you're delusional. You have some deep affection for the horse that is severly clouding your judgement. I hope he makes all your dreams come true. Good luck to that.

Thanks, I will have to check out that thread. Good to hear that everything is good on the farm.

I agree. Definetly wide open. Premium tap looks like the real deal. Invasor is a monster. Who knows where Discreet Cat will end up. Lava Man has zero shot running outside of Cali...he should stay out there beating up on former claimers/hasbeens. Sweetnorthernsaint to me is a a nice horse....but has yet to prove he is top tier. Chatain looks like a very promising horse...lightly raced....I know he had a nice set up in last...but man...great race. One of my old favorites is supposedly gonna run again...Brass Hat....but he is coming off of a few bad injuries...if he was to get back to 100 percent he would be a top threat. SHould be an interesting year in the older division.
