I lost $290 bucks today on daily doubles but more importantly I lost my DIGNITY when I did a fist pump that would’ve made Kirk Gibson jealous after turning around from the televisions once Analyze It took over mid stretch. I’m just not sure if I’m more embarrassed at the actual fist pump or the fact that I did it on a 1/5 shot.

Dark day for me as a horseplayer.:o

Might have to head down to the S Philly one when I load up the phonebet acct for Belmont Stakes action.

To make matters worse, I arrived at the Turf Club with about 2mtp and all of the machines were taken and lines were long w/ the tellers. I actually had to give the money to one of the Jamaicans I’m friendly with, Zeke, to make the bets for me. He’s a $2 bettor so when he handed me the tickets he said “ Big Mike this horse better fkn win mon”.

Zeke’s body language (him slumping down like an accordion) after the race was comical. All I could do is laugh and threw the tickets on his table before I bee-lined it out of there. I’m getting in my car and I see him running over to me eyes wide open, albeit bloodshot to $HIT. “Get in here mon, objeckshunn”. My walk back inside was as pathetic as it gets. One of my lower points as a player. Saratogadew needed Marriage Fever in the next race for a win on horsetourneys but I couldn’t even stick around to root the horse home. I legit laughed my ASS off on the car ride when thinking about what just transpired. Definitely one of those embarrassed smiles on my face, and that hasn’t happened to me in YEARS.
