He's WAY slow, and surely more misplaced than Havana. I won't argue with you if you said he isn't substantially worse than much of the field. |
thanks for the info Steve, i guess we will see how it shakes out. i agree BTW, he has not run very fast at this point but i was thinking/hoping that due to breeding he may get better as he gets older. The reason i like the horse is b/c i was impressed with his win 1st time out going route of ground stuck on the rail and fought thru other horses to win. i know the race came back slow and he sure didn't really open any eyes up the other day at Keen. thats why i was hoping the would just sit on him till early next year.

Secret Compass is the filly to beat in the Juvenile Fillies. In the Chandelier Stakes which she won, it was 18 lengths from the third place finisher to fourth, a sign of a quality race. She has the tactical speed to not fall too far off the pace.
She will have first run and win. |

Didn't She's a Tiger run the better race in the Chandelier? |
Quote:
Yes, She's a Tiger ran the better race, but I'm just worried she'll get caught in a duel. If she does, Secret Compass will have first run. Then again, with jockeys as chicken as they are today, maybe this scenario won't happen and they will let She's a Tiger coast to victory. I may use both She's a Tiger and Secret Compass. |
My Conquestadory confirmed for JF Turf, per Caton Bredar on HRTV this morning.

COMPANY LINES: Both Culprit (MSW, 1m, dirt, 80 Beyer) and Tiger Bourbon (ALW/N2L, 8.5f-T, 70 Beyer) won Sunday at Churchill exiting also-ran efforts in the G3 Bourbon which has Poker Player, Bashart and Bon Accord in the J-Turf.. Also note that Ride On Curlin (3rd behind Havana & Honor Code in the Champagne) was a non-threatening 3rd as the even money favorite in the Street Sense..
At Belmont, note Mansion House 3rd in U.S. debut in Awad. Was 3rd behind Wilshire Boulevard in G3 at Curragh last. |
