Last Gunfighter pre-entered in Classic, per David Grening on twitter. Castellano rides.

Well this sucks -- I just saw the television schedule for the entire BC and the only time it will be on NBC, and not NBC Sports Network, is for the Classic.

Wouldn't it make sense for the BC to also stream it on their website?? I assume I'll be able to see it on DRF Bets, but seeing the televised product would be nice.

Love M.M.M. over Ron......

NBC Sports Network is good...What are they charging 6 bucks a month to subscribe?

Will tvg or hrtv have a signal?

tanner12oz 10-21-2013 08:13 PM

Lots of speed here right?

HRTV's studio is at Santa Anita and they provide the best lead up coverage to Cup. Last year they made a deal with BC to broadcast everything live -- except the Classic which is only on NBC -- and I would expect the same arrangement this year. The HRTV feed is also the simulcast signal.

GARY YOUNG'S CLOCKER CLS-DIS NOTES:

C-MUCHO MACHO MAN (10/19) 5 furlongs in 1:02.1, splits 24.4, 49 and then galloped out in 1.16: He trained good for first race here, the Awesome Again, and won. But in this work he was leaning on his right rein a little and this work was just okay.

C-PAYNTER (10/21) 5 furlongs in 1.01.2: Worked in fog and looked average in company with Den’s Legacy.

D-AUTHENTICTY (10/19) 4 furlongs in 47.1, splits included 13.3 and a gallop out in 1.00.1: She worked unbelievable. Followed up last week’s great work with another one this week. Is she as good as the others in Distaff like Royal Delta, Beholder and Princess of Sylmar? Probably not. But this is the clocker’s quandary as she’s training as good as a filly can train. She easily outworked Juvenile Fillies hopeful We Miss Artie; make no mistake, she was terrific.

I thought Authenticity had a chance, but shouldn't she lap We Miss Artie ( who despite the name is a colt.....Miss as in we MISS seeing someone )?

I know the name is for his sire but at first I thought a Stern fan named him.

I also don't think this is a big deal. How good can an Artie Schiller colt be on dirt?

He's actually named for a friend of Ramsey's named Artie who died a few years ago. He said it on HRTV after he broke his maiden.

That Artie Schiller colt was good enough to have a best of 70 bullet at Saratoga earlier this summer and the 5th best of 65 in the work Saturday.

Declaration of War - Off for two months and no posted works since Feb according to posted PPs...Is this typical from Euros or are the works just not listed like they are here? Thanks in advance...

I don't think they have to post actual works over there and/or they show up in some sort of program, because they are all trained at farms, not at the actual tracks.

David Grening ‏@DRFGrening: Change of plans for Graydar. He is now going in BC Dirt Mile NOT BC Classic . He just worked 1-2 in 49.60 with Vitoria Olimpica.

Good call, that's where he belongs.

Royal Delta put in a nice half mile breeze at Belmont this morning.

4f in 46.52.

This makes her 3 week work tab off the Beldame:

10/12: 4 furlongs 46:50
10/19: 5 furlongs 59:69
10/26: 4 furlongs 46.52

All bullets.

I'd say she's sharp. Especially in consideration of her works prior to the Beldame

9/23: 4F 47.88 7/70
9/16: 5F 1:02.90 9/18
9/6: 4F 48.43 5/22

Does this lend credence to Mott stating she was not fully cranked up for the Beldame?
