Yes, they are the same, but NY seems to have the biggest in the game.

Yes. I believe she does.

Ya, there are good clean trainers at every track, but NY has the most juicers IMO.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Thanks for answering. As long as the track is not All weather like Hollywood, I am good.

sure. i remembered you asking while i was reading the article. i don't think they're looking much for a replacement track for dates; i guess santa anita will get them a lot of that. seems, from what i've seen, that they are more concerned with stall space and training facility issues.

edit~~ just grabbed that issue. san luis rey downs, a training center 'may be back in the picture'. that's the place stronach, etc owns. has a one mile track.
fairplex would expand the 5f track to 6f, and add a five furlong turf track.
los al has a 5f track. they'd change it to 7f, but no turf track added.

i'd have to think that fairplex, of the three mentioned in the article has the best shot to get more dates. seems tho that santa anita will get the bulk of the dates, with the other places having more use as training/stabling facilities.
with los al having full-time qb racing, i don't see them adding much for t'breds. and if they don't want to add a turf course, that doesn't help their situation either.

5 furlong turf track? why even bother? Whatever the replacement track is, the quality of racing in So Cal will be diminished for sure

yeah, 5f doesn't seem like much. what i don't understand is why they didn't start making changes sooner. did anyone out there get caught by surprise that hollywood will close? they've had several years to start working on an alternative to hp.

It's what I believe. I don't blame these trainers for doing what they do. This is no different than blaming MLB players from the 80's/90's of doing steroids. It's the industry's problem and fault.

I believe that 100% of posters who throw out nonsensical numbers, percentages and accusations such as yourself should be on some kind of medication, illegal or otherwise.

It's horseracing, no one is in charge and why bother with trivial issues like a major track closing with no clear replacement available when we can argue about lasix and where the breeders cup will be held in 2015.

If you believe that 75% of the game is "illegal" then why would you risk betting on it? Do you also seek crooked poker games?

I only get involved when I'm told what the other players are holding. :$::$:

I love blue collar handicappers trying to make sense of this racket! :zz:
