Obama was first elected to the Senate when... 1997? Any middle school aged kid knows if you're going to run for office your life is an open book. He went to the Trinity Church for 20 years. Didn't he write that he wept the first time he heard Wright in church? It's a big deal because it says something about his judgement, perception... It still matters because we have a right to put him or any of our elected officials under a microscope. It still matters because of the invidious rants, the venomous waste that this piece of **** ejaculated all over his congregation. It matters because it reflects on him and if he didn't realize what the guy was saying who else will this happen with... which heads of state? How sacry a thought is that? Our President called tea party members teabaggers and the Vice President used the term terrorists. That is shocking me that either / both woud say such things about Americans. The whole Rev. Wright thing is just one more thing that is both telling and alarming. God damn America? I'm very offended by that and extremely confused by your posts to Pointman whereby you paint him as racist when so clearly he is not. I have not fought with you. I don't believe I have ever disprespected you but some of the things you're suggesting... I feel like I can't help but to point out my take on it all. I've always hated movies where the wrong guy is accused. Even as a kid they just bothered me. So I'm reading this stuff every day and it's the same kind of sick feeling because I see him explaining himself, his ideas, speaking his heart and eloquently a lot of the time and his words get twisted up and knotted repeatedly and I think if it were me I'd get just as pissed. It's a terrible accusation. He's not racist. As far as the president goes I think his diservice to the country is epic. Someone mentioned pro gay or anti abortion or whatever and to me the thing is there are two main concerns to focus on when deciding who to vote for for that highest office... the economy and national security. Obama fails miserably in respect to both these things. He gets a pass though while Bush is made to be some kind of war monger nutcase (?!). The thing about Bush is after 9/11 if he hadn't acted on the intelligence he was given? He would have / should have been impeached. He dealt with situations the likes of which no President has ever had to deal with before. I can understand if there's no love for him but I do not understand the double standard that Pointman so rightly highlighted in terms of posters here and just in a general sense. History will judge Obama harshly and I think he's, at the very least, a finalist for the worst President ever award. Oh and I am not racist for the record but I have kept quiet down here for the past few years because you know if you knock him that is what happens... that's what some assume. Terrible to have been afraid to exercise my first amendment rights but alas... that's the way it is. Don't even get me started on that condescending, self-righteous, cheap clothes wearing trip taking gestapo-like phony baloney wife of his with her little garden and her food group plate (we were too stupid for the pyramid lol)... |

MMSC, post of the year is right! Thank you for having sanity and the courage to speak what you feel and understand where I am coming from. Very well said! :tro:

:o
Thanks, guys. |
I feel like I'm reading the PA off topic room. Kind of sad actually.
I also cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would spend so much time arguing about politics with people that have the opposite opinions as you do. As if anyone's opinion is actually going to change. |

1) I"m not a fear-driven conspiracy theorist that doesn't question (no, I am not saying you are) 2) Most importantly: Because I've read Obama's books, and the other books out there written by others about the campaign, Obama, etc., detailing how he's acted, what he's said, witnesses to his life and career, etc Yeah, guys - you can read books objectively and critically, for the information. The man's life is an open book, and there's nothing there to feed a massive fear-inspired conspiracy theory about the dangerous manchurian candidate. Quote:
The President has lived under a microscope of examination of his words and deeds for years - years! The man has four years of actual performance behind him. Ignoring that in favor of fear is ridiculous. Fear that the President is suddenly going to turn into an "attack the white man with hate" person? Give me an effing break and get me back to reality, please! Talk about racist Southern Strategy Dog Whistles! Good lord! And calling the President a failure economically is a matter of opinion, but I'll go with the overwhelming number of economists that have objectively measured and shown how his economic policies kept us out of a depression, and are working in spite of overwhelming obstruction by the Republicans in Congress, thanks. History will judge Obama very well, with historic, positive changes to this country. He's already being credited thusely at the end of his first term. Haters are gonna hate on this President. But the facts are what they are. Quote:
I'm appalled you attack her for helping children. And her work in Veterans Affairs has been lauded by veterans as the most they've received in years. I'm appalled at the outright hate thrown at this President and his family. I've never, ever seen anything like it, and no, Bush W. did not get this. |

This board doesn't tend to work from fact-based reality, a plethora of information, much of the time. |

As I said, I am not going to use the ignore button on you, that would miss the fun of reading your narcissistic meltdowns. I'll just ignore you. |

i don't find discussion sad-it's the name calling and such that i don't care for. just because someone disagrees doesn't mean they're stupid(or whatever else i said)-especially when there are times those same two agree with each other, and then they're soooo smart. |

I am amazed that you are back after the beatdown you got yesterday. You are just like the big bully who bullies the little guy, gets his a$$ whooped, and picks a fight again the next day. You are truly the gift that just keeps on giving. |

My God I've said wouldn't it be nice to not have to preface the word jockeys with the word female and it's the same here... He's black and that is not the issue but because he's black people make wild assumption and that is really very unfair. ... and it's unfair to him too, isn't it? Would he want that preface for all of eternity... the black President? Quote:

You're appalled by what I said? Sorry that was tame. Helping children? That tells me you probably don't have kids. How dare she insinuate that parents need her to help us in choosing what to feed out kids. I mean how did we even manage before her? We're so stupid and all.. What about her telling children to talk to "the wrong people" and go to go knock on doors, etc.? So wrong on so many levels. Which is worse... that it's exploitation or her brilliant advice to go knock on doors? Hey kids there's a white van over there and the word ice cream is scribbled on the side in sharpie. Don't forget to knock on that one! Did you happen to see what this fashion icon wore to Teddy Kennedy's funeral? I mean she fell asleep during it but still... her outfit was probably more offensive than even that. What about when she touched the Queen which I guess maybe wasn't so shocking to Her Majesty as she was still recovering from the gift from the President but then even that wasn't as bad as the 20 or so dvd's he bestowed up the Prime Minister. So what if American dvd's don't work over there? I know these things are scattered and random and may not matter one by one by one but if you total it up the equation is she is a Nanny Nazi Buffoon and I resent it any time the government thinks they can intrude in peoples lives and on top of all of that they represent us and that is ****ing embarrassing. My God school lunches? Yes that is the single most important thing happening in this country right now. Remember when the two of them and Oprah and a bunch of other self-important and smug assholes went to see if Chicago would get the Olympics and, in what might well be my favorite memory of his Presidency, they didn't? I wish all those people would get back on the plane and take their cronies and go somewhere else and maybe once again she can let the world know she is proud of her new country wherever that is for the first time. I work, I'm single, I have kids, I have paid my own insurance for my family for over a decade, I don't receive any child support and I don't ask anyone for anything. I would help my friends in a heartbeat. I handle my finances, I'm charitable when I can be and I'm grateful to have been born here. I have every right to say the things I do about either / both of them and to be disgusted and **** anyone who turns my words around to make it like I am somehow saying the things I do because I live in fear. The kind of person I am or try to be reflects the country I was brought up in so it angers and saddens me to think of the push here and there to become United Socialist States of America. This is not who we are. He needs to go and take Eleanore Roosevelt oops I mean Michelle, with him (get them mixed up, sorry). Dum spiro spero. While I breathe, I hope. |

I was looking back through the archives today, it must be hold over from all the times I was initially attacked and called "c.un.t" "f.ucking idiot", etc. when I first started daring to post down in Hate-Obama-Land, and I would just ignore it and put up with it. Now, of course, because I no longer put up with it, I'm the problem in this forum :D Or maybe it was your gentile, objective description of our First Lady. Nanny Nazi Buffoon! Heavens! The words! I don't know what she did to deserve that, but what the hell, huh? You call them assholes, etc. and you have the vapors over language! Heavens ! You are such a good person! So, do tell: if you are afraid of the influence of Rev. Wright on President Obama, characterize that influence that you fear. Others here have said it is the "angry black man that hates whites" meme because that's what Wright said in a couple sermons that everyone is so concerned about - so that is why I said it. Tell me what you fear, and then tell me why you think Obama is hiding it and not showing it throughout his last years of public life under the microscope. And you can continue to laugh at things like the actual numbers of jobs created, the actual direction of our GDP, the actual status of the financial situation of our country. It's easier than giving a president you obviously dislike in spite of any factual accomplishment credit for what he's actually, measurably, accomplished. And if you think your vitriolic rant of "Nanny Nazi Buffoon" isn't non-objective "hate" towards the First Lady, then that explains why the conspiracy theorists, bigots, racists, birthers, Kenyan-Muslim-Communist-President haters are so very dominant on this forum. Heavens! They are so afraid to post! Someone may point at them, and call them out on their words and behaviour! Well, get used to it, assorted Obama-haters, racists, Muslim haters, conspiracy theorists, birthers and general uneducated loons - people who read the news, try to be informed by reality (not conspiracy theory) and voted for the president - and who didn't vote for the president - get to post here, too. And if you don't like it, leave, or cover your poor eyes so you don't need your fainting couch because someone objects to your calling the First Lady a Nanny Nazi Buffoon |
