He just cut and pasted a post from John Titor and added a few modifications.

A friend of mine just brought this to my attention, Kent's 1/43 so far this year.

Anyone have thoughts as to what's happened? Or is the guy just in a horrible slump?

He hasn't been getting many good mounts at Gulfstream and Kent has never been one to try harder than he has to on longshots.

But, regardless of what he's riding, it's still an ugly number for a jockey with his ability.

He is getting on some absolute pigs. He took yet another new agent at the beginning of the year and I don't think it has paid much in dividends.

I think the alcohol issues (real or not) have killed all of the relationships he had with the top trainers (Romans,Mott,mcpeek) and left him fighting for 30-1 shots in mcl's.
