Look who just got home. Also, this is our first shot of the little guy nursing that I'm aware of.

Thanks for posting that. Very cute photo. It's nice Stonestreet is keeping fans updated with pictures.

Mama and baby are snowbound: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater I swear from this distance his face looks like it's got an upside down heart on it.

That's a great photo.

It does look like an upside down heart. He looks like a strong little guy. :)

Oh dear, a legit name contest: http://www.drf.com/news/contest-give...lexandras-foal This isn't some 'offer name suggestions to the Mosses for Zenyatta's baby whether they want them or not.' You've actually got 5 days to submit 1 name, and there's a nice prize package of sorts. Wanna hang with Rachel and baby? Well it could be you if you win.

This is going to sound idiotic but if you look at his star doesn't it look like the missing piece to her mane (if it were a puzzle)?

You mean the missing white piece to Rachel's blaze? That's what I think. If you look at it that way it makes them even more adorable together. If that's possible.

Oh, I submited a name in the contest. If I win do you want to go with me to visit them?

... and that, kids, is what happens when I Haven't yet had enough coffee.

Yes her blaze. God. :D :o

Oh and absolutely! I would love to go!

I'm terrible at thinking of names or I'd have entered by now.

2 days since a Rachel and baby update? Can't have that! ;) Here's a new Bloodhorse slideshow. http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-raci...andra-and-foal and the blog: http://cs.bloodhorse.com/blogs/throu...-her-foal.aspx Some great new shots. I get the color similarity and socks, but when they say spitting image of Rachel, can anybody speak more to conformation?

Also, 2 days left in foal name suggestion contest.

Less than an hour to get your name suggestion in. Just sent mine. If you go on the FB page, there are some doozies that people threw out there and by "people" I mean 13 year olds that love pretty horsies. I'm sure most of the folks won't think to check the registry to see if it's available in all its ridiculous glory so Stonestreet will have a mess of sorting that first. The next large chunk will have gone with Alexandra's Curlin or some variation from what I can tell.

I wanted to come up with one more apropos as far as Jess or the pedigree was concerned, but the one I liked most just didn't do that. It might seem out of the blue. I don't anticipate it getting selected just for that, but I figured it was worth a shot. I'll use it myself one day if they don't pick it. I hope a DTer gets the honors. :)

Rachel and baby grazing together. He sure is a growin' boy. I wonder what's up with the name situation.

https://twitter.com/#!/StonestreetFa...051008/photo/1 Here he is with "Grandpa" Steve as Stonestreet put it. That's one big foal. I assume Steve Asmussen's not a shortie.

I had a question, I've noticed that thing on the left side of the foal's neck before. Is that some sort of area left over from when he and Rachel were being medically looked over early on? An injection or blood drawing site perhaps?

No, that resulted from a rabid bite from Smooth Operator.
