I am not taking anything away from Rodgers or the season he had. I have just always felt the MVP is based around the value to his team and what they would be without him. A season where you destroy a long standing passing record should be recognized though and since they are not winning the Superbowl, MVP should be his consolation prize. |

I get what the MVP is for and I stand by Brees based on what I think they would be without him. The fact that neither Brady or Manning had broken the record before also says a lot about what he did this year. |

i read an interesting point of view about matt flynn and his chances with another team. guy said that flynn will go to a bad team, and then the owner, coaches, fans will wonder why he can't duplicate his previous feats from when he was with a good team. we all know a good team can make a good qb. and of course no matter how good a qb is, if he hasn't got a good line to block and give him time, then he's going to get pummeled.
i have high hopes for sam bradford-but i'm not sure he can stand up to all that punishment long enough to be around for some good teammates. |

where would they be without Brady ? when the Pats drafted them last year was there some big celebration about the 2 new Star can't miss Tight Ends we just drafted ? I think Brady has a lot to do with their success. Branch, Patton and a few others didn't do jack without Tom Terrific. |

and yeah, when you take a TE early in the 2nd round, there are high expectations. |
