The question should be what the hell is NY doing, not Parx.

And I believe in innocent until proven guilty. I don't fall for hearsay when it involves sexual harassment.

The simple fact that the authorities didn't charge him speaks volumes to me about his guilt.

absolutely.

it could be that they didn't yet have an airtight case. double jeopardy and all that...doesn't mean he's innocent. bringing charges wouldn't have indicated he was guilty.

Ironically, Guerrero's bid for reinstatement at Parx might have created far bigger problems for him. The Paulick Report article linked above says that former jockey Carey Kifer testified at the racing commission hearing that she was "sexually assaulted" by Guerrero in 2010. If she did so testify, I expect that the Bucks County DA's Office is investigating these claims. Depending on what they find, a new arrest might be forthcoming.

It still doesn't change the fact that he hasn't been charged with a crime and these allegations are extremely damaging to his family.

It looks bad. You supposedly have some backstretch worker wear a wire and all they get is a kiss and a pat on the ass? They really despise this guy so much over juicing that they are willing not only to ruin him financially but also potentially destroy his family?

Sorry I'm not cool with luring. It's horses.hit and petty and basically shows that racing doesn't have the resources to police itself fairly and above board.

While I dont have the exact dates of Kifer's claim of sexual assault, you would hope the assault claim happened after her last race she rode for Guerrero, which was October 26, 2010. If it happened prior to that and then she still rode for him, it would explain a lot about why she didnt file any charges at that time and how credible of a witness she is now. Either way, one thing that everyone agreed to at the hearing, she was a bad jockey in the afternoons.

I don't know that the PA commissions ruling will matter to Parx either way.

typically, victims suffer for some time before they finally decide they've had enough. women often don't report immediately. they fight with telling, being considered a rat, wondering if others will believe them, what if they lose their job, etc, etc. they think maybe it'll stop, or maybe it's not that bad....being hesitant to call attention to yourself doesn't indicate lack of honesty when a person finally has had enough
