Nope, AF duty all stateside...Had 3 uncles in WWII, 2 in the Pacific and 1 in Germany....all saw action....Have met several Nam and Iraq vets and heard their stories....a close local vet is a smallish guy served two tours in Nam..Now works a full time and part time job at 65 yo and no retirement in sight...hellova guy....

Guy asked me if i ever saw combat and i gave him my patented story..
I spent 4 years in the AF, all but basic in CA....Told only time i saw combat was one nite in SF i was walking down Market Street and three queers chased me down an alley...Then told him 'one of them got away'....:D
