That would be $0.

To put things in perspective, the Vosburgh, with 7 betting interests, had more in the exacta pool than any Keeneland stake race today, all of which had more than 7 betting interests.

Touche' to the 'crap you have spewed' response but that crap is just an opinion which obviously hit a sore spot with a bunch of people and elicited some good commentary from several.

It might be easier selling a pro choice poster to the church than it is to cite disappointment with NYRA racing in this forum. Wow.

To Danzig (re: the Wood) - yes, I agree historically it's no contest but while it might be a fluke, the bluegrass and spiral (or whatever they're calling it now) have had more results in the derby than the Wood since poly came into play.

it doesn't help that both i want revenge and uncle mo got hurt/sick after their wood performances. however, i'd imagine that when you take all stakes into consideration, not just the derby, that ny outshines keeneland in that regard.
keeneland only continues to hold it's graded ratings because it's keeneland, not because it's still important. keeneland is many things, but it certainly is a far cry from a championship meet. quantity of horses doesn't mean a quality field, or quality racing.
i expect keeneland to eventually switch their main track; i doubt their poly side of the business is reaping much in dividends these days. of course as long as they were trying to push that surface, they had no choice but to install it themselves. you can't exactly sell a product that you don't use.

This tag team thing...

Tjfrab has 11 posts. Most people are too intimidated to begins threads at this point.

Welltakethat has 17.

Now there are people on this forum who encourage new people or lurkers to post. Maybe not too often but we have gone out of our way (cause we want them to obviously).

This though...

If one looks back over their posts... they both post on Graded Stakes Downgrades...

http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/sho...965#post795965

... and on the Dunkirk caller thread...

http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28717

Gee they even sound alike.

I think we're a fun bunch here.

Even the couple of people I cannot stand I at least find entertaining and am glad to read their stuff.

This? I know i should have better things to do then to find old posts by a couple of people who are here I don't know.. to stir the pot (?) (... and agree with each other!) but hey I'm sick so it's either this or lose money down under.

I chose this. :D

Okay carry on.

I saw the same thing. It aint random.

It all has nothing to do with NYRA...but you know that. It's about the misinformation you are giving about Keeneland. The interesting thing, of course, is that you are the one that needed to take shots along with the falsehoods you were presenting. Others just presented the truth.

I wonder what the Keeneland handle would be if they had dirt.

Wouldn't be as fun. Then we wouldn't have Grade I winners like Wicked Style, Noble's Promise, Dominican, and Monba.

Why would anyone feel intimidated? I mean, yeah, if you are going to purposefully come across as a reeetard, then please feel free to feel intimidated.

Otherwise, I think new posters are typically given some slack.

What's the worst thing that can happen (in regards to being intimidated away from posting)? Serling will come to your door with a baseball bat and bust your kneecaps?

DrugS will throw a sock at you?

Hoss will say something mean spirited?

Maybe Coach will post some weird photo with an even weirder caption?

The people that reacted the worst to new posters, and had the greatest amount of intolerance, namely TFF, have been eliminated.

Don't forget Eskendereya.

i didn't forget him. i can't believe anyone would actually think we've seen keeneland produce more relevant horses than ny.

And we could have grade I winners like Wild Syn, Millenium Wind and Sinister Minister. Is there any meaningful difference?

That's not a fair comparison. If you'd like, for instance, I can name you some winners of the Blue Grass Stakes from it's dirt days, which number far greater than it's brief time on poly, which were MUCH better than the three you named.

Millenium Wind, btw, was a much better race horse than those three aforementioned poly winners.

Or Holy Bull, Alydar, Alysheba ( though he was disqualified ), Chief's Crown, Strike the Gold, Summer Squall, Skip Away or Pulpit. And that's ignoring Harlan's Holiday and Peace Rules recently.

Did you think the pre-Polytrack dirt surface at Keeneland was a "fair" racing surface? To my way of thinking, with its tendency towards a "gold rail" bias, that dirt surface often produced results that seemed as random (and meaningless) as some on the current synthetic strip.

ANSWER: No, Belmont outhandled Keeneland by over 30k per race.

Gee, how can that be possible? Wasn't Keeneland #1 again this year in track ratings because its low takeout and bettor friendly nature???? I thought lower take and bigger fields always meant more handle and Keeneland was the greatest place ever.

Ok, I'll stop with the sarcasm.Credit due to those who have taken the time to figure out how to bet that surface and win. Too many results are just plain too stupifying for me to give you my money there.

I look forward to seeing what Champions emerged from this weekend's Stakes at Keeneland. How about Belmont?

One of them will show for a jumper race at Toga next year.
