Nnamdi basically signed for the same money that Dunta Robinson is making. Now the question is who is going to trade for Samuel?

Those were some clueless reports then. Nobody is giving a corner $17 million a year. Revis is the best in the game and he got $11 million per.

Which is why giving Cromartie $8 mil is way too much

I, too, thought tht was super high, but it made a little sense bein TB has a boatload to spend and needed to fill Talib's spot. That is when i counted the Eagles out as a possible destination, but what do i know? I also didnt know tht Revis Island only gets 11 per. That might be the steal of the decade.

I won two cheesteaks off my boy bc he said tht Nnamdi would bring in 20 per yr. I couldnt shake his hand fast enough. Thats as clueless as they get.

Yeah, but after Nnamdi and Joseph, he was the best available option by a mile. They couldn't afford to lose him.

Dark day for the NFL.

Texans. 5 years, 48 mil.

slotdirt 08-01-2011 12:46 PM

I think it might take more than Jonathan Joseph to make the Texans defense legit.

declansharbor 08-02-2011 03:49 PM

Ronnie Brown time!!

I'm gonna give a horse laugh tht puts John Elway's to shame at my next friend/family member that calls this organization cheap!

slotdirt 08-02-2011 04:20 PM

Well, Philly had a lot to spend (though this confuses me - who did they lose from last season that had such huge cap numbers?).

slotdirt 08-02-2011 04:26 PM

P.S. - interesting read on Samuel, Nnamdi:

this isn't directed at anyone here. but the eagle frenzy has gotten so overboard that their one fan in my office just gave me even money on every team in the nfl not from philadelphia to win the superbowl. and despite the evidence I wouldn't rate him as someone who's normally retarded. but the fever is high.

i'd recommend openly suggesting that the superbowl isn't won in august in front of any eagle fans you know to see what kind of offers spill out.

Who you got behind Vick because he will miss at least 4 games this year

As Joey said to me: We still have Andy Reid as the coach.

its very exciting to see what they have been doing, but nothing matters until the postseason starts. Still, as a girl who bleeds Eagle green, I have no complaints on this offseason.

btw, you should take that bet!!

signed Vince Young as a backup.

He's not the smartest, but he can win games with the offensive talent we have. Especially if the defense is as good as it looks on paper.

If we had a quality Red Flag challenger, time out taker, and two minute decision maker, I'd feel much more confident for this season!!

No question that the Eagles have done excellent work from a personnel management standpoint. Schefter said yesterday that it's to the point where available free agents are flocking to the Eagles like 14-year-old girls to a Taylor Swift concert.

I really feel that Mike Vick has some type of star quality when it comes to the players in the league. He could be the main reason that guys want to come here now (plus we dont play at the :{>: Vet :{>: anymore). We also had a lot of money to spend because the Eagles didnt spend shi.t last year, so that helped of course.

I think this is mostly right. If the Eagles can get leads - and I don't see any reason why they won't - then that defense should be able to shut down most opposing offenses. That being said, the linebacking corps is still a little thin as are the safeties, though when a team has a good front four and a dominating set of corners, most linebackers end up looking pretty good.
