Well, he's done a good job with this horse. He took the blinkers off (trying 2 turns,) and the horse romped with an 0 for 65 (or something like that) jock up. I thought he was in too deep against the Factor last time (thought he'd get burned up.) What he did is what he's done in all his races (try very hard.) It was a very nice effort, and you can see that his speed rating went up. I thought he'd get another top 3 in here. Romping by 7 wasn't on my menu. He had a 57 n' change work, and I guess the blinkers off got him back off the front end. See, this horse has always been a tough competitor. He's never run a poor race. It's pretty interesting to see a tough horse improving in the talent department. I would agree that this trainer/owner has been inconsistent in these stakes races. I don't think he's had one as tough as this one though. Yea, Street Hero was talented, but he was also clumsy, awkward, and stupid. I had a horse outbreak Premier Pegasus in the Jack Goodman Stakes. Quinonez had to use Premier Pegasus a little (from the 1 hole) to get to the lead. My horse sat a perfect 2nd. My horse was able to bug him from the outside. I thought sure I was gunna get him. I never got by him, and he was never gunna let my horse by him. He is a tough son bitch.
