I feel like Ferriola.

The Indomitable DrugS 03-29-2010 11:44 PM

John Parisella had him at like his ultimate peak. It was the year Parisella won at 40% at AQU and over 50% at Saratoga.

He's a great man.

The Indomitable DrugS 03-29-2010 11:55 PM

He seemed to come back down to earth after he got ratted out by a fellow trainer.

I think Slewis was behind it all.

The interesting part of that article is what is towards the end and not about Parisella.

Good to see the old days of cheating, before the blood doping heyday.

Died on the lead at the end. Name him.

I have fond memories of him beating Admiralty and Flitch in the Stuyvesant.

KClown, do you have the 2006 Lanes End to put on Youtube...all the Lanes Ends stakes from years past where on there except the 2006 running.
The With a City shocker.
Thanks.

This was a weirdly run race....What kind of odds could you have gotten on Flower Alley around the half mile pole?

The question after that race was if anyone hit Norberto Arroyo, Jr. with a pool cue.

what the heck is MB doing calling Magna Graduate with 2 horses absolutely flying down the stretch. I know... I know.

I can't get over how uncomfortable Flower Alley looked for 4/5ths of the race... He had no shot, until at the 8th pole when he re-broke like a good thing.

I never liked him, I always thought of him as a higher class PLODDER. His Travers he cought Roman Ruler who had already run huge races before in the Haskell and might have been distance limited, and Bellamy Road off of an injury and layoff. He then threw a dud at Belmont and rebounded well in a shitty BCC, the winner of that race was clearly scratched, I think it was morning of. Then as a 4 yr old HE SUCKED, I remember feeling like I was right about him all along.

Will we ever see a horse put together a 15-month stretch of races like Skip Away ran from May of '97 to September of '98? The quality and quantity of those performances are stunning by today's standards.
