Show me his good race outside of the Aqueduct inner and maybe I'll take him seriously. And don't tell me a Laurel allowance loss to the over the hill Ah Day beating 3 other horses including the washed up Jade's Revenge is a good race. You can have all the 3-1 you want on Understatement with some real speed and presser types in here, he ain't gonna see a lead, much less an easy lead.

Jade's Revenge got buried for 40k at Delaware on Monday and Ah Day has twice been beaten in 50k optional claimers recently in Maryland.

I know it came up with a big number on the sheets but that is the very reason why I only use the sheets as a supplment occasionally not a be all end all.

Blame has lost three races in his career - his first start and twice when he was returning from a layoff. Could he possibly need this race?

"Maybe that could be the case, but hopefully it's not," Stall said.

Exactly, I want zero part of Understatement no matter the price. No reason Blame should lose Saturday, but if he does the 2 for me are Indian Dance who will get the setup and Murray is a good local trainer and Flying Private who as I said has come back nicely and anytime Wayne brings a horse back better than when they laid up I am interested.

Al Stall is too dumb to lie. Two of those losses were at 7fs and the other was behind a glacial pace in a race where he ran huge.

We are speaking the same language here. I'm saying at 6/5 which is what he will be I won't use him.

I agree the Flying Private could actually be a factor here if Thompson can get him over and avoid being stuck 6-wide around the first turn. They figure to go much faster early here than they did in his last race, and with the right ride he could sit a nice stalking trip. Throw in the fact that his best effort last year did come off short rest over this track, and there is a lot to like.
I think I'll box him with Blame.

Nice return race for Blame, if he moves forward from this he'll win some nice races this year.

randallscott35 05-15-2010 02:10 PM

Good race for him!
