Oh come on. A guy who calls himself Jimmy the Hat, has to be on the show, gambler or not. He is a character.

At least they did not put Jon White on the show --> would have been as fun as watching C-SPAN.

We definetly live in a world now that is instant information 24/7. I myself am not a fan at all of twittering, tweets whatever but hey it serves a purpose for some. If you are mad because you had to wait 5 minutes at the coffee shop for your latte and feel it necessary to tell the world thats great, but I don't care.

Facebook serves a purpose for many but again not my cup of tea. I actually am in total agreement with Gander on this one. I can't stand tweets, facebook or text messaging. The days are long gone of people actually having phone conversations. Shoot, the days are long gone of people buying a newspaper and reading it.

You're so folksy. Can you recite every episode of The Andy Griffith Show word for word?

I hate talking on the phone so text messaging is GREAT!

I'm still trying to determine whether people criticizing a social networking site, while on a social networking site, fits the definition of irony.

Another Twitter thing people might find interesting, those of you who have an idea about trending topics, is that Melbourne Cup is one right now. Meaning Australians and probably lots of folks around the world are getting into it on Twitter. Gotta love that enthusiasm. What I like about this is something horse racing related is a trending topic.

We need to look into hauling some tail and getting the Breeders' Cup, TC, whatever else to show up as a trending topic. Folks often get interested in at least finding out what's going on because they see it on that list. From what I understand, that means getting on Twitter, putting a hashtag which is a # sign followed by the tag. One that is going on right now is #unseenmovieprequels. You do one, then slap that on the end of it so others searching for it might see.

ETA: That's just one option, turns out you don't absolutely need a # but that's one thing people do. Eh, I'm new to it, still learning.

"Swimming in a room full of gold coins, not as fun as Scrooge McDuck made it look."
