It amazes me that owners would not want to spend $1000 on testing a million dollar horse, especially in the midst of the Triple Crown. More importantly, were those Desert Party's wraps in his shoe?

Well, at Churchill they have to work in the morning, transport a good hour or more, get sedated (those last two risk picking up a little respiratory thing, accidents, bumps/bruises, etc), transport back, get the travel/health certs from the vet to be ready to go, and now the horse is tired as he didn't get to rest or nap or lay down all day, he was shuttling in the hot van all day, not eating, not drinking water, etc.

It's much easier - and such a thing is used much more - when such a facility is literally right next door to the track. You still have the $$$ cost.

As I recall, Desert Party was the one dragging wraps behind him. But I liked them both.

cindy jones was quoted as saying she spoke to bob baffert at some point after the race, and felt it was most likely POTN's...

He's a slick guy . He could ahve used that as a cover up for the fracture . It could have been just as conceivable that FF had that micro fracture and they knew it . So give him 7 weeks off . FF did not run to form in the slop, a surface he relishes, in KD. He stunk in the Preakness . After those 2 duds they find a fracture . Very curious and imo it's time for Jones to go away for a while .
