O'Hare, couple miles, Midway...far, far away. Did you know that? Maybe Steve can pick you up. Cheaper to fly into Midway, but a 2 hour train(s) trip to AP. Definitely not worth drinking and driving.

This race couldn't have come up at a worse time for me. Mrs. Bigs is the best, but this is a very tough one....

I haven't closed the book on the possibility of a Bigs sighting at AP Saturday, but it isn't looking good.

*edit* Check that, the ticket I was eyeballing just jumped considerably in price before I could set the hook. No chance now.

I was checking earlier and found the following:

American leaving Saturday AM from DCA (Reagen National) to O'Hare, returning on Sunday AM for $147 ROUNDTRIP.

Probably can't make this trip but wanted to share with those in the greater DC area who are considering a trip to Chicago this weekend.

Good price...I've been watching flights for the Million and the cheapest I have found is $249 roundtrip out of Richmond.

That's an incredible price. I wish I had not already made plans Saturday.

Neither is really that close..check a rate at Hotel Indigo- 1-847-359-6900 or if you really want save :$: , there is a Motel 6 next to the track that really isn't that bad.

Stayed there last year.........was very nice and slightly over $100.00......within walking distance and has a sports bar either in the building or very close. Can't make this trip, have a wedding Saturday which I would blow off, but my wife leaves for business in Holland Sunday morning and can't risk not getting back in time.

wac 05-28-2009 08:29 PM

My gosh i can't believe this. All you guys in the same place and there is no way i can make it. Damn id love to meet you guys as i know this will be a blast. Good luck to all going

booner 05-28-2009 09:59 PM

Wish I could make it also. After finally getting to see Arlington, I am dying to make it back. Saturday would have been a great day to see the track again and meet some of you.

Good luck to everyone and hope all have a good time!!!

chucklestheclown 05-28-2009 11:40 PM

Isn't there a hotel right next door? A Sheraton? Check the AP website, might get you a deal.
