Dave Brown was awesome on those 80's-90's Flyers teams, no doubt.

If you haven't already check out his fights on youtube, he was mean, when he got someone on the ice he didn't stop. A lefty also.

You should have seen him in the lawless AHL. He AVERAGED over 10 penalty minutes a game one season I remember.

Not really...Here is the complete archive of fights between the 2, though I give Probert the slight edge, Domi got his especially when the league starting coming down on Probert for losing his jersey which gave him a distinctive advantage in fights. Notice how he no longer destroys guys when he is forced to keep his jersey on. For this reason I think his reputation as the NHL's toughest fighter was grossly overrated.

For the record I would put Dave Brown on my list as one of the top if not top fighter in NHL history.

Brown was a bada##. I remember when he crosschecked Thomas Sandstrom in the head at The Garden. The next day the NY Post had him on the front of the sports page with a Wanted Dead or Alive sign next to his face. Sandstrom most likely deserved it.

I'll look for the book. Thanks.

Have you finished your mano-a-mano with Justindew? I haven't looked at the thread for about five minutes.

Here is the book:

Nah, Justin and I had our yearly brawl. I am done arguing with the guy. Is a waste of time. He seems to have a reading comprehension problem. Is like arguing with a 6 year old.

There's a fight of Brown vs. George Mcphee on youtube, I recommend anyone who is a fan of NHL fights to look up Mcphee. He was only listed as 5'9 175lbs. However the guy had to be the best pound for pound fighter of his time. He had some classics with some heavyweights, The Toccett fight was one of the all time best.

I first saw George McPhee play in a 1984 rookie game between the Rangers and Devils at Totowa Ice World. Needless to say, he got thrown out for brawling with a guy named Greg Evtushevski. He was a Hobey Baker award winner, I believe, at Bowling Green Univ. Career cut short due to injuries.

I forgot about that, he was once the Hobey Baker winner. Real tough player, he fought Nystrom, Brown, Toccett x 2 and more than held his own. GM of the Capitals now.
