you sound like Dutrow last year a couple weeks before the Belmont!

Don't remember BB refusing to put full weight on it in April, but I might of missed it.

Is it all that different? Same miracle worker in charge of the patch.

well the quarter crack may not be as bad... but missing training time and having that soreness... we'll see... but if he runs I'd use him at your own risk! (I wont be using him now and am prepared to eat crow)

SCUDSBROTHER 04-08-2009 03:45 PM

If he runs, it means they will have to have a more fair track than the Gulf was. Churchill won't provide the sheet rock ( they don't want QR breaking down on National T.V.)

you would hope that they would do that anyway.... I mean after the big breakdowns there (8 bells, pine island).

But I wouldnt expect Churchill to actually learn anything from those experiences.

gales0678 04-08-2009 04:24 PM

he's now behind , he should have worked today

gales0678 04-08-2009 04:34 PM

should have a work in 10 days after the last race, he's behind schedule plain and simple

i am not against the horse , i am not against the tranier or the owner

but maybe chuck can come on and talk about , he needed a work by now to stay on schedule to go 10 f

Thunder Gulch 04-08-2009 04:43 PM

They planned to work him twice before the Derby, so as long as he gets those two works in and regular gallops, I don't see where he's that short.

I don't know what I'll do with him. He was going to be my pick, but I will really have to be convinced that all is well. If I leave off and he wins, I'll never forget it. On the other hand if I bet him and he flops, that will feel just as bad. Everyone remembers Big Brown's dismal effort, but I also remember well when Touch Gold ended Silver Charm's Triple Crown bid.

no i am not a trainer

you already know that

but the horse is behind , ask any of the trainers on here , this is common fact

beyer , andy , crist can analyse all the numbers from know until the cows come home and they are all very good at it , but , as far as preperation for a 10f race the horse is behind , the numbers are the numbers, but they don't tell the whole story

Travis Stone 04-08-2009 04:57 PM

Thank God I'm not behind in my taxes this year.

gales0678 04-08-2009 05:10 PM

i'm never right about anything here because you drink the kool-aid that others around here provide and you will never give me an objective look

Travis Stone 04-08-2009 05:10 PM

I hope Jimmy Jerkens isn't reading this forum and decides to pull-back as per Gales request and input.

Hoss you are a smart guy go back and look at some of my posts and see who responds to me on certain topics , sometimes you are not far behind with a comment of your own after you have had a sip of the kool aid

(some of these topics may already have been taking down by the mods though)
