alot tougher field than Sunday though but at least he is running

Looks like the weather is suppose to be nice also, and I also think we get to fade Campbell since he is named to the 4 so hoping for Cisco

Weather is going to be beautiful, and no rain until late next week, so no chance it will come off the turf. Yikes looks like they are making up grass races, 1/2 the card is on the grass.

Cisco...YES!!! I think he would be right up there with lead riders if he hadn't gotten hurt.

John G. Dooley loves the name, in the morning preview show on derby day, he kept mentioning him, not just because he was competitive in the race, but he said he likes the name...:p

So the Col. is definitely in?

Must be a good sign - this race is the free race of the day on Brisnet, I guess this is a key race for the day.

Go Col. Klink

Of course he's got to hook Hillswick :(

More like Steve's Star.

Albarado was aboard Atomic Force last time, until he had a choice, and chose Steve's Star over Atomic Force. Why turf with Hillwick, he looks much better for dirt.

He runs his sprint number and yeah, the whole field is in trouble

I honestly think that the key is going to be two turns for Hillswick, more than the surface. He should take to it fine, but think he'll probably love two bends, he's caught two freaky winners already and looked like a serious watch horse.

With that said, I still didn't pick him on top.

Bigsmc 03-22-2009 02:39 PM

What was that he jumped going into the first turn? Shadow?

Bigsmc 03-22-2009 02:42 PM

Nice run from a brutal post position.

They all kind of jumped, it looked like the horses were scared because of all the dust that kicked up. Does anyone know what the emblem on the back of the silks is?

looked like the turf course had a bunch of black dirt
I bet that was exciting.

o-well can you tell I had Win and Show on Klink

he's a big boy maybe he can get a longer race that doesn't have crap for a turf course

I thought he ran nicely was wide most ot the way. He couldn't get over to save ground. Next time.

philcski 03-22-2009 03:07 PM

He ran great from a disadvantageous post position. He really tried to fight back in the stretch. Thought he might get there for a bit :)

Can't wait to see the #, probably going to be decent.

Kasept 03-22-2009 03:13 PM

And Graphite Halo a game 2nd in TP 6th...

herkhorse 03-22-2009 03:14 PM

Nice run

GBBob 03-22-2009 03:25 PM

Well..that was quite a trip he got...Never thought he would be a front runner like that. Looks like Torres was just along for the ride

I agree. Little better post so that he doesn't have to go 4 wide the first turn and he's right there at the wire. Win soon to come.

BG logo is Bob's initials (I am guessing you might be being sarcastic but just in case)

Has to be, 5w2w and the winner was 1w1w I think, we moved forward, had to. It didn't help that Torres tried to tuck the horse but no one knew he wanted to be on the lead

New target is opening weekend at Toga going 18 furlongs with the cones up over 8 hurdles :)

I wasn't. I liked the color combination but could not make out exactly what it was. There only showed side shots of both Graphite Halo and the Klinkster.

TY

A little birdie just called me and said that Klink is the top nominee for "FG Name of the Meet". Supposedly Dooley is pushing the TV crew to make sure they vote for him. SO COMEDY!!

Trophies to be handed out on the preview show next Saturday or Sunday

herkhorse 03-22-2009 05:33 PM

Liked the close-up of Klink as they loaded.
