I do agree that the top 2 pedigrees arent the typical Euro and you can certainly make an argument they may not be horrible on the dirt. That being said I dont think either beat Curlin on dirt. As for Tiago he doesnt sniff Curlins tail on dirt

I know Raven's Pass wouldn't have won because if that race is not on synthetic, his trainer said he wouldn't have even entered him. Same for Ventura. But yeah, the surface makes no difference. Wait till next year. The Mile on grass may have zero entries, all of them going for the Classic. Seriously, if anyone trained a winner of a race like the QE II or the King George and you are considering coming over for the BC, it would be criminal to not be in the Classic.
