Drum Major second off the layoof for Weaver interests me a bit. Travers Day race was ok but feel horse has enough back class to be in the mix

Shakis is training very, very well and could pull this one out with Jersey Joe Bravo on Board. However he has not shown up on occasion for no clear reason and if the turf is soft, he tends not to like that. I do think Big Brown will be beaten here and am looking forward to handicapping this more carefully as it will be a great betting race.
No knock on BB but he has not shown the aggressiveness and turn of foot in the stretch he did up to the Preakness. He can be very rank and Monmouth's turf course has very tight turns. Plus he is going against older horses for the first time. There are just too many issues to confront here. I continue to be very puzzled with their choice of this spot as a BC Classic prep for him. He has got his hooves full and then some.

Turfway has a Polytrack surface tuned for its winter meet so that it will not freeze. Santa Anita has a new Pro-Ride track about which we know nothing yet. How can you say they are similar? Are you medium who can foretell the future?

Big Brown keyed on top of a trifecta should pay very nicely.

Based on the sentiments of this Board (all the Big Brown naysayers), that is shocking. Why is Big Brown even the favorite, let alone a possible 1-2?

People are dumb.

Big Brown will be the favorite because not everyone can be as smart as the people on this board. The casual public will always bet down the famous horse.

And again, it's not that it's Big brown naysayers, it's people that have a realistic view as to his place in the game. But, since you mention it, considering he has accomplished less on the turf than the entire field, he's a horrible favorite. I understand why he is the favorite, but he should not be.

I appreciate the part about the morning line. I'm curious. It sounds like you think he probably won't win. So do many others tomorrow. If he wins tomorrow and the BCC, does he deserve a higher level of respect fom the horseracing world in terms of how good he is?

Only if he wins the BCC.

as to the bc, not just if he wins, but the manner in which he wins, and who he beats.

If he wins. It is not a sure thing at all. And I would be very surprised if he wins. No offense to the horse or anything. Just too much to overcome for a horse that has not been at his best since May.
